well ladies and gentlemen after five rounds we go to the scorecards and here are the totals 49-45 49-45 and 48 46 your winner by unanimous decision the killer gorilla Kennedy [Applause] that was a playing pressure if I gave you the room he was gonna do whatever the hell you wanted to good job I’m here with the winner thank you Jared cannonir congratulations impressive is a word that comes to mind but more importantly record setting performance the most significant strikes landed in middleweight history Jared what are your thoughts on that well you know after the auto signing five my goal was to increase my output and I’m an effective Striker so most significant strikes in middleweight history I’ll take that that uh that notch in my belt maybe help submit myself in history well it was just an unbelievable performance the toughness on display from both of you gentlemen was at the Forefront you got hurt early wobbles right off the bat in the first round and you battled back how badly were you hurt and what was going through your head in that first round to be honest I don’t even know what shot he hit me with you know what I mean I just saw a flash of it went dark for a second luckily I was telling my feed and I was able to recover and uh rally back you know we had a teammate do something quite similar damn near exactly similar Mike Hamill did the same thing in his fight last night he got wobble early in the fight and and trucked on and got the win got the fence got the win and uh I’m happy to duplicate those you know to duplicate I didn’t want to get hurt I don’t want to get hit but uh Marvel’s a tough dude you know he remains unfinished in this octagon so hats off to him for that um I’ll put some some hard shots on him um I gave it the best that I that I could uh muster for this fight and uh as you guys saw I broke a record tonight you know so that’s a that’s a huge fan of my cap I’m really proud of myself you should be proud of yourself take a look up here at the big screen and this is just some of the shots we don’t have time Jared to show all the big shots that you landed throughout this fight were you surprised I mean it doesn’t sound like you were that you weren’t able to put him out of there and then also adding in those takedowns did you think maybe possibly I can’t get them out on the feet let me take them down and use my ground impound well I wanted to show more wrinkles in my game you know um I wanted to show that I’m not just a striker I’m not just going to knock you out if I can get you down on the ground I can put a hurting on you there as well you know um I didn’t get a chance of showing these submissions Marvin was smart enough to not give away any so uh you know kudos to him for that but I’m happy to I got to I got to this place some more of my skill setting here and to show the world that I’m still at the top of my game and I’m only getting better 39 years young still improving looking better than ever in here Jared Cannon here listen you’ve you’ve fought for the title you faced the best guys in this Division I got to ask you who’s next what’s next what’s next for Jared cannonier you know I want the title shot you know that’s what that’s what I’m here for I’m here to go towards the title so um I know they already have uh contenders match already on the books but uh you know I’m willing I’m willing and ready to step in if anything happens with that title shot coming up or the fight that gets me the title shot that’s what I want and that’s what we want too man impressive performance record-setting performance congratulations again the killer gorilla Jared Cannon here ladies and gentlemen
