eyebrows off on accident she said keep your glasses on and that nobody will know and everybody will laugh at me if I tell have you ever done that it’s not on purpose you get the electric thing you think you’ve got like a runaway one you get it and you think oh I can get another one it it’s a second and they’re gone and one’s gone you have to go to the other side I tried Just For Men I dyed it my wife took a pencil and she drew it on on and P She said you got to keep the glass on and DC I got fitted for contacts last week I actually don’t need the glasses anymore I have contacts but I can’t walk around like this she called me uncle Leo from Seinfeld do not tell anybody that that’s between us well oh my God chill keep your glasses on bro keep your glasses on bro please don’t take those off at all for the rest of the week because my goodness your face sometimes you need a mustache or something to hide your real face you need your eyebrows dog oh my goodness chill wow oh my goodness how do you move on from that chill sportsmanship DC I do that to give the other guys a chance oh my goodness I used to go in the club with like holes in my shirts and whatnot I wouldn’t shower for days and I would because I’m giving the other guys a chance God you’re crazy and I still want you’re crazy did you know Conor McGregor called me a hoe are we going to address this or not why did he delete the Tweet why would he come after Poor CH I really didn’t like that and can I tell you why I didn’t like that Daniel if he was in rehab just to be very clear on this I was commending him that’s great and by the way I don’t know that he’s there I’m saying if if he was in rehab I was commending him he resisted my condemnation and then claimed that he pulled out because of a discolored toe a discolored toe that may or may not be broken and by the way may or may not be his toe he tweeted a picture of a discolored toe he wasn’t in the photo like all he had to do was pull the camera back another few inches and get his face in the photo there was no photo it was just of a toe which allegedly I guess is broken well chill Conor had this to say about his toe look let’s take a listen I had a little little laps of concentration and you know I had to reschedule the belt so I’m a little upset about that but you know it’s keeping me dialed in it’s keeping me focused you know I can’t rock around like I’m at the showing up like I’m at the do only me job the job is not done so you know that’s not bad for me for someone like me you know so I’m onwards towards the new date and you know take my lessons learned it was an lapsing concentration if I was any one of these other little bums and then that can’t move that have no footwork I don’t rely on their skills I you know then I would be okay and I’ve done it before I’ve made the walk a multitude of times under those circumstances and given these bombs an advantage over me that they don’t even deserve so now I’m dialing it in I’m getting this training camps correct I’m walking in there 100% Conor McGregor injury free Perfection is on the menu well CH Conor McGregor showed these of his toe now CH will say this I was in Saudi Arabia and Connor does have a broken toe at least that’s what I heard from the powers that beat be with that being said you see these photos you see Connor doing an interview at Bellator right that’s kind of the first statement he’s made it’s at Bellator when you look at Connor and you think about this injury Chan you have to use all the factors he’s he really doesn’t pull out of fights he hasn’t done it many times there has to be a true injury but when you think about UFC 303 and Michael Chandler one can you give Connor a break now seeing him speak about it and me telling you that I know his toe is broken and if a guy doesn’t necessarily or normally pull out of fights would you have expected him to just make the walk because Islam Mahadev said you don’t need a picky to to fight uh ilot Toria had all kinds of stuff to say about him everybody seems to have a opinion but all of their opinions are saying he should have just fought because it’s just a pinky toe is that a real opinion or is that just them trying to get on the radar of Conor McGregor and you know what that’s the million-dollar question because I would like to give you a candid response to it and D I sit back go man I don’t know like on one hand you have this guy pictures worth a thousand words he looked great in that interview with Dan Hardy I mean he looked like he’s got his weight under control he looks very fit which I think I think you know speaks to kind of a yeah he looked fantastic he knows how to dress he’s got a Versace tank top on that I wish I could pull off in all fairness like he looks very good and he says a lot of the right things now this is the same guy I’m teasing him for pulling out for a discolored toe but this is the same guy who the last time we saw him before they faded a black and rolled the credits he from a sitting position when he should have been on a stretcher on the way to an emergency room calls Joe Rogan over so he can complete his interview while he’s broken in half like this guy’s as tough as an old leather boot I’m just I’m not going to say that he’s not I was a little surprised I was surprised one that that took him out of a fight but moreover I was surprised he coped to it I mean if you want to get the word out you could telephone Telegraph or Tel a fighter cuz none of them can keep a secret he kept this one to himself nobody knew about it and then he let it out and I did think it was a bit of a surprise I don’t fault him I would never kick a man when he’s down I would aler him a hand up but if I’m to tell you that it’s surpr in fact I I kind of thought it was a troll because he didn’t include his face in the photo and I just don’t think a guy that had his leg snapped in half and insisted on conducting an interview for the entertainment of the crowd would walk away from International fight weekend I just don’t think but it appears that’s what happen I don’t begrudge him for it so so I think what happened is he hurt himself and like he said in the interview time and time again he has G while injured because a Conor McGregor Fight Card isn’t like any other so when you build a card around him obviously look at the look at the number it means to him and the organization to make sure that he goes through with the fight in this instance I believe that it’s been so long that he cannot go on with the fight because he’s got far too much to lose I also hear that it’s the toe on the same side as the broken leg so it’s like there’s so many factors as to why you would think this guy’s not fighting but when I look at it I think it becomes an opportunity for just about every fighter that’s in his orbit right because you and Connor can go back and forth But ultimately all it’s going to be is a whole bunch of words but for Islam Mev for ilot Toria when they go at Conor McGregor that may ultimately lead to something and you want to know why because they’re both holding Gold Belts if neither of those guys had a championship belt neither would have their words would be like uh those other random fighters who call out Conor McGregor he doesn’t care he doesn’t care enough to respond but when you hold a gold belt you can actually say Conor’s name he will respond to you that injury what it was and why he pulled out now opens the door for all those guys Leon Edwards should say something if I’m the Champion I’m saying well that’s BS you fight with a broken toe well we found out that Alex Pereira had a broken toe going into UFC 300 and then three fight cards later Alex pereira’s fighting again I would make all those points to try to go Conor McGregor into fighting me because ultimately you know it’s the biggest payday but what does that do for Chandler CH you know like Dana went on and said poor Michael Chandler hey chill if anybody is if anybody starts a statement with poor Daniel cor is gonna probably wait poor chill sunnon is gonna wait I mean that ain’t good chill Chandler’s are boy but that ain’t good chill come on man it’s it’s what a tough spot and who would have seen this coming I mean there’s one guy you can count on it’s Conor McGregor Dana White in fact made a statement which did nothing but get Dana in trouble but he made it anyway because it was the truth and he said about six months ago Connor can come back anywhere at any weight class including a world title at 55 or 70 with one phone call why would you say that Dana because he such a cash count no because of how many times he stepped up for the organization for how many times he’s done something for us when his back is against the wall if he called that favor and I give it to him Dana was just making a commentary more than committed to a fight but he was speaking to a point which is Connor is Mr reliable I mean not for nothing it really was a big surprise now Daniel I want you to think about something and I really do want an answer real briefly you got to walk to the Octagon fictional situation you got to walk to the Octagon you have to take on Michael Chandler in front of the world you can either do that with a discolored toe which is going to affect your balance and it’s going to hurt or you can walk out there like this you got to do one of them which which one do you take if but if it has to be one like you know how much your focus would be off everyone would be laughing at you can you put your glasses on thank you thank you thank you all right I’ll answer I’m fighting with a broken toe man I if my eyebrows are shaved I’m definitely not fighting I don’t want to look bad Hey listen to this though Hey listen to this so well let me let me finish this let me make my point before this I wouldn’t fight with a broken toe me because I’m a wrestler because you know chill a broken toe with no shoes like if we’re in a wrestling tournament and I break my toe you take that foot and then you throw that wrestling shoe on you tie it real tight and you’ll probably be okay but you don’t really the grips and the feet will allow for you to still wrestle I wrestle with a broken toe with no shoe there’s no way we’re pushing off of that back foot McGregor for to his credit kicks a lot if you take that part of his game out I don’t know how Conor McGregor would be able to compete so I get it while he does it but back to your question I’m not fighting jail if I look like you dog I’m just not I I’m just not Hey listen what what I want to do is I want to ask everyone on Friday if if they would you know what would they do if they shaved on their eyebrows what did you have to do stop stop so what are you shaving what are you shaving that the Clippers go like are you doing this are you doing this at your your beard and you go like this I mean what do you doing to shave off your eyebrows I can answer that okay first off it it’s a no it’s a nose and ear trimmer I didn’t know this was thing and it’s very round and I never knew if you went straight up for the hair or if you came along the side I didn’t know I was experimenting I had a couple of hairs that were off on this eyebrow so I was in the mirror and I was doing my thing plus my face is going to be seen more because I just got fitted for contact so I don’t have to wear the glasses anymore some people think this is a fashion statement cuz I got a little bit of tint to them it’s not they’re prescription the point is I’m not going to need them so I was in the mirror fixing myself up and as soon as you move a quarter of an inch the whole eyebrows ruined you have to go to the other side to even them out like you don’t have a choice I don’t make up the rules to the game that’s what you have to do before you know it DC you look like a fool wait wait you could look like a fool or you could look like a man that’s super confident and doesn’t care what people say about his lack of eye eyebrows hey Bo Nam Su you got to be awful tough to walk around with these eyebrows don’t please please please please can I tell you something DC can I tell you something Connor came at me on Twitter and I got to tell you I don’t like it when he does that I view myself as like a mentor to Connor I view myself as somebody that helps him to navigate some of the headwinds of MMA and when I find out that he doesn’t view me that way it makes me feel like a fool and I mean I I got to just tell you I don’t like when he does that publicly and I don’t like to come back at him public I I really don’t particularly when a guy is hurt but I was perplexed I was genuinely perplexed that I had handed him an olive branch of something courageous such as rehab and he denied it to say that he hurt a toe and I only keep going back to that because d you know imagine what he was up against In fairness okay his his leg breaks he finishes the interview with Joe Rogan he’s going after poy man when he’s coming back he doesn’t care the weight class and they put him in a main event for five rounds that is such a wildly difficult task to ask a guy who’s going to have a hard time running he’s going to have a hard time filling up that gas tank with the cardio and the aodin and just a number of drills that we in this sport will do to get our lungs into that he might be the most distracted guy in the sport and Michael Chandler just might be the most disciplined guy in the sport like this was a massively tall order and I will go back to if we’re going to do this again and we’re going to revisit it please consider giving him three rounds I don’t think anybody has any less interest in the fight I think that he could prepare better I think it’s a fair point by me yeah I mean it is you’re on fire today like that Conor McGregor he him getting you on Twitter kind of bothered you I I could see it I I could I can even see it through the atrocity that is you without the eyebrows like I don’t care how ridiculous no please don’t take your glasses off please do not take your glasses off man we’re trying to do a show here we’re trying to do a show here that’s between us you don’t tell anybody about that I’m not no it is one of those things though though but it does embarrass me a little bit listen I I used to be over at Fox we had a show you were part of it and it was called UFC tonight and Conor McGregor came in and he was just getting his name out there he just knocked somebody out he said give me 50 G’s baby and the whole world’s looking at him he comes on the set I was one of the hosts right I know that I’m shining my own wheels but this was my experience I was one of the he came in he was so excited to be there when I went over and introduced myself he said to Kenny Flor and I he looked around the set and he goes so this is the big time huh boys and he was excited but he was he was like saying you know where Kenny and I were is is where he was esteeming to be and I always just thought from that comment that there was like a respect to your Elder if you will there was a respect to those that came before you so when he does that on Twitter it is it’s one of those things where it throws me you know it throws me off a little bit hey George mozal hurt my feelings with it George it was the same thing with George mozal man you get somewhere off course you’re like well I don’t know how we got here but I got an ego too and I’m not the one that’s gonna leave they get they start to they they Conor sold so many pay-per-views he can’t he can’t be humble like that anymore it’s like every hey they always say money lets you be exactly who you want to be now you’re seeing these guys as they truly are now CH I keep making fun of you about your eyebrows I think you look beautiful but I’m going tell you one guy that doesn’t look bad Robert Whitaker Robert Whitaker last weekend fights against Alice scof and you’re wondering if this young guy this young Russian is gonna be a problem for Robert and as he has done time and time again Rob Whitaker not only goes out there and delivers he smashes this dude when most thought why in the world would you take this fight this kid’s unranked he’s got two fights in the UFC and now he’s getting to fight you the number three ranked guy in the world what makes Robert Whitaker so special chill this is a wrestler Killer by the way and that pains me to say but Daniel you watch the body of work over Robert Whitaker he does his finest work against guys that are grappling heavily go watch any one of the 10 Rounds he did against yel Romero just to prove that point look Whitaker isn’t always the easiest guy to get to the ring I things got to be just right and he’s just the right incentive now he’ll go out there and he can beat anybody in the world but it’s not always easy to get him out there he changed opponents in a couple of weeks he he didn’t seem to care not to mention that was a very tall order to bite off not to mention we don’t really know what the carrot was we like to make believe that that was a number one contenders match or at least put you in good position but we said the same thing about Shan Strickland a couple weeks ago my only point being nothing was get guaranteed and he went out there and he did that heavy lifting anyway not all Hall of Famers not all world champions are created the same there are guys that are shinier and brighter Robert Whitaker is as good of a fighter as that division has seen he is as good of a fighter as this sport has seen I am actually blown away that at this stage in his career where he’s attempting to climb a mountain that he’s already been to the top to Daniel I’m not sure he’s not better I’m not sure he’s not getting sharper I’m not sure he’s not getting crisper his B’s looking leaner he seems to be uh rejuvenated and I could only hope that we get him in there someday with Jamaya I was blown away with Robert Whitaker for me Robert Whitaker has real clear intention shell but what’s most impressive is his ability to to take these fights now it may be because he does so well against wrestlers knowing that Alice scov was just a young wrestler CH this guy Robert Whitaker I saw a video the other day he’s entering wrestling tournaments with a singlet wrestling freestyle to try to make sure that when you come across a guy like y Romero you come across a guy like ikam alisov you come across all these great wrestlers you got to be willing and able to defend yourself he can do that but I mean to me he was so impressive in this regard he landed the right hand that hurt rram instead of rushing and just throwing punches he took his time he tried to head kick him when the head kick misses he walks him down measures him hits him with a crush and uppercut this dude is so good and he continues to evolve and improve CH he said if I was choosing fights to get to the top I couldn’t even sleep at night Robert Whitaker is an absolute Savage bro and by beating Paul Lo Costa and now beating ikam alisov after losing to the champion dra is dup plus C he puts himself in a very unique situation he goes to Saudi he wins his fight in the way that he did he doesn’t take any damage I mean I don’t even know if he got kicked once this was easier than Robert’s easiest bar session because rram never really got going who by the way should not hang his head he’s just getting his career started he will be back on that level but right now the moment belongs to Robert Whitaker so when you look down the line Robert Whitaker goes in that fight he takes no damage Drake is duple C in Israel atna they are fighting in two months and Robert Whitaker tells me in the cage I want to be the backup fighter I want to be there for Robert Whitaker is that the right move CH because if you’ve lost twice to one guy and you’ve already lost to the champion this would seem like the most foolproof way to make sure you get another shot at those guys at a minimum it’s the right attitude and that is one thing right now Shan Strickland is angry he’s never been angry but he is right now and he’s feeling slighted and I just got to tell you that could create a real opportunity for Whitaker I think the backup spot is covered I I actually I appreciate it I I think that it falls into number one contendership offense see Kamar Usman just by example once upon a time a guy named Conor McGregor came along and said I’m not anybody’s backup fighter and all of a sudden made the position uncool I think it is cool I think it’s a good spot to have and I think that Whitaker is doing everything right by telling you it’s the only thing that makes sense that I’m willing to do it him simply saying those words in the resistance of Shan Strickland saying I’m not going to be a backup fighter I think probably gets him the spot there’s nothing wrong with that I like that he’s at the top he’s not hiding anything listen I’m an old dog I’m a veteran but I’ve still got it I’m only fighting the top guys it makes sense to me man the story works and he he could fill in there at least in my opinion yeah he could and like you said Sean Strickland that would suck because if anybody’s deserving of another opportunity him but hey middleweight it it’s an abundance of riches right to have two guys fighting for the belt two guys that could be backup Fighters that are both Championship level and quality former Champions they have got so many great guys at the top of this division that they don’t even know what to do now CH uh before uh I I move on I just want to tell you that when we left Saudi last week bro we were yelling USA USA it’s so hot there it’s crazy how hot it is in Saudi Arabia but the people treated us fantastic so s thank you but chill it feels good to be back on American s man there is no country like the United States of America as I lead into five rounds let’s go five what do you make up all right all right DC I think there was a question there that was Alex Pier I actually thought that was Gilbert Burns but now I am seeing that is Pier what was up with Kayla she is so good I mean of UFC 300 she really got brushed aside but you want to talk about any one performance she goes out there and gets through Holly Hol and now there happens to be rumors by the way that Amanda uh is coming back I love that she’s working with Pier I don’t know what he was doing in town at the at but I’ll watch more of that even if it is a garbage technique chill where is the champion we’re talking about Amanda Nunes Kayla Harrison where’s Raquel Pennington bro like seriously let’s give Rocky some love but how in the world do you think that that was Gilbert Burns Gilbert Burns is not 6’4 in 225 P till your out of your mind look I believe that if Alex H this move very impressive but we see this move all the time there are a lot of people that do it inside the UFC especially in female fighting where they hit that old wizard kick it’s a good move and I can see Alex pulling it off in the fight one of my kids does that in the practice room I make him do push-ups that technique is garbage round two here we go all right it’s Lopez taking on Ortega DC this is at 155 lbs possibly one of the more interesting thing about this I got two questions for you who’s got better hair and who has got better Jiu-Jitsu your first um I don’t know who’s got better jiu-jitsu man both of these guys are tremendous you know honestly I kind of like the long hair of Ortega because the long hair suits the light eyes of Brian Ortega look man I love the mullet I love the waterfall chill but I can’t pull that off not many can pull that off you know Diego Lopez seems to do it but um Ortega I like the long flowing Conan hair that goes right in to the cornrows I’m going Brian Ortega Brian Ortega is in my opinion a top five most misunderstood guy in the industry if you ever meet him outside of fighting he’s borders on being shy he’s extremely polite and one thing about him it reminds me of Nate Diaz in this regard he will go around and tell the world about his Jiu-Jitsu he’ll threaten you with his jiujitsu Jitsu and he’ll bring about that black belt but when he gets in there it’s fist to cuffs that you need to be the most worried about and I think that that’s one way he has an opportunity to get over on Lopez CH one time me and Brian Ortega did jiujitsu in a Convention Center when he was fighting at a UFC fight in Anaheim that’s how much this guy loves to Grapple he just had to show me this specific technique so round three our boy Anthony Smith is fighting at UFC 303 he was going to fight against Carlos alberg who initially was going to fight Jamal Hill but now he gets Roman deled is this a tougher match up for Anthony oh yeah it most definitely is listen one thing that will bite Anthony and he was more guilty of this younger in his career I get that he’s a veteran now but in all fairness paralysis by analysis has gotten to him more more than once where even if he wins the match the outcome isn’t perfect when he sits and analyzes a guy when he brings in training Partners when he spends a bunch of money on training and him and Mark Montoya stay up late and they’re making videos while they’re watching tapes of a guy I mean I’m just saying like Anthony does some of his finest work when the house is on fire he does some of his finest work people are betting against him because there’s something that should not favor him I think a short notice fighting a quick turnaround people are going to view as a negative to Anthony that’s generally when he steps up and fights the best you know for me it just seemed as though there was a clear path against olberg to avoid the Striking the dangerous striking you have a chance to take him down you could grapple him that doesn’t seem as clear against the leay the guy’s a tremendous Striker he’s a tremendous Grappler so yes I do believe it’s a tougher fight luckily though the Le is a middleweight so Anthony will have a size Advantage all right DC round four we’ve got Ian Gary basically giving no room to what he’s calling the old dog MVP he said and I quote this is Ian Gary speaking he can’t beat me and he can’t beat anybody in front of me he could have win the title in Bellator he he’s going to come and do it in the UFC ha haa laughed in MVP’s face what do you make of that I mean I think that’s Ian Gary Being Ian Gary I think you have to tell yourself things at times as an athlete that make you feel better about going into the fight he watched MVP’s debut he understands how frustrating it can be to fight Michael vinam page but he also understands that he has a skill set that not many have Ian Gary is one of those guys that can do just about anything and honestly man I know the kid has been getting it bad because of some of the other stuff but in terms of fighting when he’s between the lines Ian Gary is as bright a prospect as we have in all the Mixed Martial Arts so I think he’s telling himself things but I also believe that he believes I will tell you this and this is going to sound very strange now but this will look like a fine wine overtime when you look back on it one of these guys is going to walk through the other guy this will not be a competitive fight I must tell you I don’t I know who that’s going to be but whoever wins the first minute of this fight will win that round whoever wins the round will win all three rounds one of these guys is getting bludgeons it’s just a matter of who’s faster and who can get to the Target quicker you know I think this is g to be a great fight between two very high level Strikers round five Conor McGregor is not letting Michael Chandler off the hook so maybe there is hope for Mike he’s taking shots in at Michael Chandler he said why are you going to UFC 303 because Chandler said it’s my fight it was my card Conor said when he shows up they won’t even be able to recognize him CH is Conor McGregor threatening to beat Michael chandel up on the streets he going to beat him on the streets though listen most Fighters have one commodity one thing you can monetize which is the performance if they’re not throwing punches and kicks they don’t offer anything to any of us these two are different Connor has another commodity that’s interesting to me right there I’m not into the street stuff and I don’t think they’re to go getting a beef the mere fact that he’s threatening it and he can’t go anywhere without people recognizing him and the same thing goes for Chandler I understand that Chandler is not the star that McGregor is but make no mistake he’s coming up in the business himself I love this kind of stuff DC yeah I I I love mess you know how much I love anything outside the Octagon I want it to escalate but I don’t think it will I mean I don’t even think Conor is gonna be in America Conor’s home but that’s the power of a Conor McGregor right he’s just saying stuff stuff that he don’t mean stuff that doesn’t matter for me what I love to see also though is that it tells me Michael Chandler is still going to get that fight chill Michael Chandler is going to get that fight and it just teaches you and it teaches kids all around the world because you know Michael right he’s very positive and he will tell you if you believe it you’re G to achieve it and if you put one foot in front of the other every single day and every other cliche that there is in the world he’ll put it at you and this today it shows that by just staying the course he’s still gonna get that fight chill and that’s got to feel good to you D DC that actually will be a very glorious moment for everybody around and speaking of all those wonderful cliches there was another young man out of Louisiana named Daniel Cormier who was inducted into the Louisiana state Hall of Fame take a listen to this this Hall of Fame excelled and wrestling on the high school level in Louisiana and then from there his career really took off he became one of the brightest lights in his U uh UFC Championship days he’s Bonafide ladies and gentlemen the champion Daniel Cormier big cheers and congratulations to DC Cormier it’s time to enter the Hall of Fame that’s awesome you know that’s that’s awesome man that’s one of the uh that’s one of the greatest accomplishments of my entire life you know I just sad that my parents didn’t get to see me go to any Hall of Fame you know uh UFC Hall of Fame Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame but as a kid that grew up in Lafayette man you never know what your future looks like and my parents just drove me to practice every day they didn’t know nothing about wrestling we didn’t wrestle especially in the neighborhood I grew up in but they went to the tournaments and they watched me and you never know what happens when you support your children and uh I had two greatest parents that gave me an opportunity so I thank all the people that went and it broke my heart that I didn’t get to go but I was in Saudi Arabia and I had it planned already before but to the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame thank you guys for recognizing my accomplishments I can’t wait to go to Naes and go and see what you guys put together I love my state chill uh I think it’s the best state in the
