Flyweight Amanda Ribas spoke to the press at the official UFC Jacksonville media day on Wednesday ahead of her co-main …

hi guys hi hi Amanda first Coleman event battle right in the UFC does it feel any different than your previous fights that’s for sure I’m in all my fights I’m cited at the training at the fight but now and comment event in Jacksonville I’m really excited and when you got the news about the coming event about um is that kind of like you scratched something off the The Bucket List and now you can look ahead of uh you know headlining maybe in the future that’s for sure when I saw that I I go to Common event I look at my dad and me oh my goodness maybe they have my photo and the card but not yet so this put more fire in my heart to to go to the cage and get the win if God blessed me for me can show what I’m training for yeah and this fight is at 125 in the past few years you fluctuated between 1 150 and 125. can you give us an update where your career lies is that gonna continue both weight classes or are you going to stick to 125 what’s your plan for me is good because when I when the UFC offered me 125 I can get with two weeks one week for the fight because I always training at my gym and with 115 I need more time so and in my vision is always good The Fighter oh it’s still fighting like last year I did just one fight and in my planning I was planning to do I don’t know three fights and but God bless me I did one but was good so this time I hope I can do more and that’s it so the plan is to do both just to be more active yes for sure yeah which weight class have you felt the best for me 125 I can eat more I’m feel more stronger and 115 I’m feel faster so both are good for me just there is just this difference and I want to ask you obviously about your opponent Macy Barber when you got the name what did you think uh is this someone that you have that you’ve had sort of uh seen throughout you know the your time in the ufcs is someone that you potentially saw yourself fighting at some point yes yes I I was watching her before there’s an announce of the fight because she’s really good I like to watch her fight she is exciting fighter and she had a hype too so this is really good not just for me as a person like for sponsors and all but for a fighter like a professional because when the UFC put me against her it’s awesome because the audience wants to see and this is amazing where do you think a win over her does to you in terms of your standing in the division because she is in a four fight win streak looking quite good um what do you think it does to your career if you beat her Julian I mean true for that God bless me arms to the top but I think and of course depends the way fight goes I have sure with a lot of punches and chickens and on the grounds and really excited and then somebody wins with a great bonus of the night and I hope you can get top five nice and lastly um recently Amanda Nunes retired you know she’s a huge part of women’s MMA history a fellow Brazilian so I just wanted to ask you what she means to you as an athlete as a woman as a Brazilian what does Amanda Nunes mean to you and what do you what do you think of her Legacy if you have any words about her I cry when she retired but it was happy for me because she did a lot she she for me not just for me but I think for the world she is the goat she is a smart fighter and this is hard inside the case should be smart to get a vision of the fight you know and she has this so for me was a pleasure to meet her to meet the Nina to meet her Reagan too so now I think she she deserves to enjoy a little bit the life without diet and I think she will come back if someone starts you growing up on the UFC Division and then oh nobody will kill this girl and then Amanda Nunes come back you know I think yeah thank you you’re welcome Amanda in Portuguese Comics foreign opportunities French [Music] foreign [Music] foreign thank you
