Dustin Poirier previews Pereira-Prochazka & expects McGregor to COME BACK STRONG | SportsCenter Dustin Poirier joins …

UFC 303 with us now on Sports Center uh Dustin Main Event between Alex Pereira and Yuri prasa that’s a rematch eight months ago UFC 295 Pereira won that by knockout round two I believe uh give me the path of victory for each of these Fighters here as they meet again so I think Yuri in the first fight was doing a great job won the first round on all judge uh judges cards and I believe he was winning the second round up until the Finish where he got hit with a big shot they stopped it some say controversial it is what it is he had a lot of success so I think Yuri needs to do what he was doing pressing Alex against the fence using his wrestling cuz as we all know Alex hasn’t been in mixed martial arts for as long as Yuri has and I think Yuri has a better well-rounded game so if he uses that wrestling mix things up and doesn’t stand directly in front of this guy getting hit with calf kicks and big punches I think that’s a path to victory for Yuri and on the opposite hand Alex is in a assassin a stone cold stoic assassin he’ll walk in there not flinch not blink and walk you down I think he needs to be Alex he needs to walk him down hit him with big shots and if he does that he’ll put him away just like he did in the first fight uh UFC 303 here this one was supposed to be the return of Conor McGregor that changed injury he sustained that during Camp uh you’ve been in the octagon with that guy three times including his last two fights what’s the injury and how long does it take for him to get back from that so you know the original injury that took him out for for this long term was a a broken shin bone and uh he had surgery recovered from that started prepping for a comeback fight and I believe what I’ve hearing is it’s a toe that got broken and I don’t know the extent of that to me a pinky toe getting broken maybe you don’t pull out of an international Fight Card week but maybe ligaments got torn maybe he needs surgery I don’t know the full in-depth detail of the exact injury so he could be back quick or if he needs surgery we’ll see just looking at his career and the things he’s accomplished the man has a strong mindset if he commits himself to being the best he can if his body allows him to be the best he can I think he’s going to come back strong do we see the Vintage Conor I’m not sure but we’re going to see a very dangerous man who’s hungry for a win and who needs a win if he does come back yeah to stay relevant he certainly needs to to beat somebody up uh Dustin Georgia St Pierre once tried to beat me up just asking for a Post-It note you treat me better thank you [Applause] [Music]
