when I was in the back at the contender series and we were watching these fights and I was like man the thisit is boring and I just remember that’s exactly what we said to each other like man you get a win no matter how you get a win the way you win we’re getting a contract so we were never worried about getting the contract on the time we were ready to fight and I wind up getting a second round knockout and dominating fashion I dominated the whole fight I just think the reason I got that contract that I wasn’t worried about it is cuz I know the emotion and the presence that I bring um is contract worth the anab if you want to get into the UFC and this is where you want to be act like Joe Piper okay be Joe Piper be excited to be here be fired up the fight try to finish the fight try to win be Joe Piper and you will get into the UFC my life changed substantially after that you know Dana White gave me a place to live um with the money that he afforded me on top of my win bonus but I want you to know that that was a flute last time I want went through depression and everything and I said I was going to come back here you guys gave me a shot I don’t even know what that is but take that I watch you since I was 4 and A2 years old before you leave tonight I’m going to give you more I’ll give you more money and and and uh you get situated save the show and uh without that I don’t think I would have had the trajectory that I’m on um because uh I was getting evicted that Friday and I was unsure of where I was going to live I fought that Tuesday I came home that Wednesday uh moved out Thursday and moved in to uh the new place that I was able to afford thanks to Dana White that Friday and then I flew out to Texas to go watch Amanda nunz Juliana pñ that Saturday I was a busy man I was never used to such ouie treatment it was pretty cool that’s and I understand that day was a business man he’s been nothing but respectful he’s been nothing but generous I’m just very thankful that’s the only thing I can say [Applause] I’m
