welcome back to UFC fight camp in the UFC we’ve got the Red Corner we’ve got the blue corner here on fight Camp we’ve got the social Corner forget fists and knees this is the best of the week that was with thumps Jokes Aside it has become a terrific tool for fight promotion and apparently booking balal Muhammad has been clamoring to fight Colby Covington for going on a year recently claimed they were offering to coach tough opposite Colby which seems to have fallen through but below’s not letting it go taking to Twitter waiting outside Colby’s window Palo Costa doing some matchmaking of his own on his Twitter account for Gregor Chandler as an international fight week headliner the rumored top coaching pairing and Nick Diaz V bojachina at middleweight apparently as the co-main welcome back to your corner men Megan Anderson Jimmy Smith grappling all around we’ll say striking I’m I’m more the social media portion of the social Corner expertise so I will tee up you Megan first I’m going to go ahead and say uh the Diaz Costa pairing is unlikely Nick Diaz hasn’t won a fight since 2011. UFC 137 so Megan of the other two which do you think is likeliest to happen I think Chandler McGregor is the most likely to happen Costa I don’t know what he is on at the moment but he owes Robert Whittaker a fight they were supposed to fight at UFC 284 but now he’s he’s in contract negotiations that fight didn’t come through so I don’t know what he’s talking about fighting Diaz he owes Robert a fight but that aside I think Chandler and McGregor are the closest pairings to potentially fight and I think that’s an exciting fight I’d like to see that one but I don’t think it will be a good matchup for McGregor if it does happen Megan very quick follow-up to you does does that fight Intrigue you the most of the trio or is that just the likeliest I think that’s just the likeliest I’m more intrigued by Covington below Muhammad I think that stylistically is very intriguing mashup but Colby is kind of one of those guys that you know he doesn’t fight super regularly and if anything I’d like to see him up against like a hamzat shamayev so I I kind of want to see that fight but I wouldn’t be mad at Bilal Mohammed and Colby Covington either I think stylistically they match very well and it would be a great test for Colby’s cardio because nobody seems to be able to hang with him except for Camaro Jimmy both questions to you which one of those is the likeliest and which one intrigues you the most well maybe I’m maybe I’m a little older than me I’ve been burned Diaz brothers and Conor McGregor so when it comes to them I never believe anything is going to happen until the contract is signed therefore I’m going with Colby Covington versus Bala Muhammad and I gotta agree with Megan I think it’s an intriguing fight because of their ranking in the division this has big Stakes you know me Phil I like steaks in a fight I like to know that the winner moves up it might be in the title conversation the winner of this fight definitely in the title conversation that’s why it’s so important to me the other two are fun they don’t have the stakes of a nice Colby Covington Muhammad Showdown love to see it Jimmy likes his Stakes rare he likes them well done he likes the full spectrum I’m with Megan I like star power this sport is at its best when it has transcendants Superstars the potential for that is Conor McGregor thank you for watching ESPN on YouTube for live streaming Sports and premium content subscribe to ESPN Plus
