or Draw that was an incredible performance by both Fighters now let’s take a look at some of the knockdowns by Connor there’s that left hand here’s another one early in the fight Connor was having his way with the stand up with that straight left and with the left leg kick there’s a nice elbow by Diaz somewhere around the third round towards the end of the second round really Diaz started coming on strong combinations just sworn him hit him with that elbow there and what’s really big is this taked down at the end of the fifth and Final Round that is huge because that was an incredibly close very solid Jiu-Jitsu game but he’s a top game guy he wants to be on top dominated and Klay wants to keep him on the ground like this this is Klay Guida’s game stifling the jiujitsu keeping the guy on his back the kind of guy that’s going to give Cay weita problems is the kind of guy with a killer guard a shinya ioki type of a guy both men are bleeding Joe blood coming out of the nose of Diego Sanchez Diego Sanchez using the rubber guard shakes him off PL weed is on top of him and now it’s Guida pushing the pace now this is a time for Josh Rosenthal to get PL weed his mouthpiece back a very nice call and a great job done by Rosenthal you don’t want you don’t want to get broken teeth or anything let go go let Go’s [Music] [Applause] go he is wow Cay weed is bleeding real bad from his nose that might be a broken nose Mike Sanchez came out dynamically I tell you one thing Sanchez looks much quer gets wed by the head kick wow I thought he was out clay G has got a hell of a chin unbelievable drive for Guido and the flying knee again Sanchez looks tremendous his striking has improved incredibly oh my god wow just teeing off Clay’s covering up playay has tremendous heart though Mike he is not going to give [Applause] up and he gets a welcome Break by pushing Diego Up Against the [Applause] Cage Sanchez all over Guida and again with the uppercuts a minute five remains in the first round [Music] [Applause] Cay we’s face is a mess how he recovered from that head kick man I don’t know yeah I mean I thought he was out it’s it’s all heart the kid has just tremendous Drive tremendous Drive tremendous heart tremendous cardio and Diego takes him down into side control good scramble by Klay to get back to half guard but Diego’s on top of him and that’s not a good place you know Idan it’s not very often that we’ve seen Klay Guida get taken down at all and Sanchez successful there yeah mean it just shows how much damage Diego has given him in this round I mean what a first round my God Diego keeping a lot of pressure on the neck of Klay [Applause] Guida what a frenetic pace for the first 5 minutes of our main event of the evening They Came Out Swinging and they close swinging and how much has Diego Sanchez striking improved wow I wonder what Dana White thought of that first [Applause] round main event of the evening Pearl at the Palms looking for the head kick again again with that left head kicka came away at the end of the round clapping his hands like all right let’s keep going oh he’s crazy guita is going to definitely look for the taked down that’s what his Corner was asking for they want him to take him down and get on top and there he shoots for it and he is on top Diego has worked his striking a ton in San Diego yeah his striking is really dramatically improved I mean his whole game is dramatically improved but really is striking now what Diego would like to do off of his back is try to sweep kayua that’s really [Applause] elbows from the Bottom by by Diego he’s trying to high guard here lots of fingers in the face C weed is covering the mouth of Diego Sanchez what what he would like to do is get get Diego pressed up against the cage and rck him upy [Applause] [Applause] looking to punish Diego Sanchez and Gua is an expert at stifling submissions he’s an expert at stopping jiujitsu and and roughing guys up ugly punches elbows staying on top of him which is what he’s doing right now to Diego Diego rolling for Kamura again Diego has a very high level Jiu-Jitsu game playu has got to be very careful with this and he sticks his own head in there to protect himself Gua wears down his opponents but I’ll tell you what Diego Sanchez has always been known for his off the charts cardio what he’s got to what Diego’s going to do is pull that arm out and away from the body of clay Guida and then lift it up and towards his head while maintaining the full guard if he can get those arms separated Cay weed is free this is what Cay wants round and pound he wants to fight this round exactly this way he wants to stay on top stay in this exact same position and fight ugly Sanchez taking a look up at the clock also trying to see what his position is by staring into the big [Music] [Applause] screens good control here in round two by Guida after Sanchez did everything he could to try to finish this fight in round one wow the chance of Guida ring through the building everybody loves a comeback he’s got to be careful here because Diego’s got his feet Against the Cage Diego is rotating and Klay recognizes that and tries to drag him [Applause] away and again Diego is not much of a guard guy his game is more of a top [Applause] game playay Guida good Illinois boy huge Chicago Bears fan out of the glove there thing he doesn’t do is bite your fingers off with the do’s of wild man elbows from the Bottom by Diego powerful elbows and Clay’s covering up these are good man those are some solid elbows from the btle maybe some of the best we we’ve ever seen from the guard Mike I mean this is Kenny Florian type bottom work with the elbows he goes to the rubber guard but I can tell right away that Diego needs work on his flexibility in order to pull this out he’s having a hard time keeping his leg up there that one landed oh Diego’s bloody well someone’s bloody it might not be Diego you know it might be the top of the head Playa continues with those elbows Gua continues to punch away you know BOS rotin won the heavyweight title from Kevin ramman with elbows from his back clay Diego rotated there shot there well you could make the argument Sanchez won round one and Guida won round two third and final round Sanchez slipped Gita tries to take advantage Sanchez has only been defeated twice in his mixed martial arts career by kek and Fitch he’s come back and won three straight since that point look the head kick again he connected on it in round one [Applause] you know if you score by the rounds I can see that kayua won the second round and Diego definitely won the first round however Diego won the first round huge so it’ be really interesting to see how the judges scored whether they gave him a 108 round or what [Applause] [Music] big uppercut from Diego play goes to the taked down and Diego shook it off three and a half remains looking for his third win over an Ultimate Fighter winner Guida looking for his second straight win at 55 [Music] Sanchez I mean he really helped to put the Ultimate Fighter on the map you know the great fight between Griffin and Honor’s always talked about but Diego’s personality was a huge part of the original Ultimate Fighter yeah he’s a very unusual dude to put it mildly but that’s one of the reasons why he’s such a great fighter he’s got this tremendous belief in himself he doesn’t care what other people think about him what a battle between these two lightweights tonight our main event of the evening uppercut by Diego Sanchez Diego’s got that left hand loaded and he delivers it take over hand by cida again Sanchez with a combination G bloodied up on that right side good shot to the liver guidz so far has only attempted one takedown in this round I believe I’d like to see him try to shoot again he faked one right there well you know what he may not like those elbows from the guard position of Diego Sanchez I’m sure he doesn’t but he definitely was more successful in that round what was that again with the head kick two minutes remains looks like he’s about to break dance he might if he wins this fight he shoots Diego gets his back oh my slippery though they’re all rning slippery Diego’s got to be careful cuz Clay’s on top now and that’s where Guida had his most success in round two Diego’s trying to hold to an arm triangle right arm of clua you see that Mike yep now if he gets it out what he’s going to do he’s going to pop it out he’s going to try to pull it up and back towards the head of of cigua the big question is did Diego Sanchez earned himself some 108s only time will tell 35 seconds now remains in the fight he pulls it out the Clay’s got his arm straightened for what looked like it might end quickly Guida throwing some really nice kicks that one checked but Guston seems to have the hand speed Advantage here final seconds of the round and more importantly he seems to have more fluidity earlier tonight he’s still having a bit of a problem with that right eye The Cut Above It that from a very early punch from [Applause] guson there’s that kick again and as JN continues to land these hard leg kicks oh big combination by Guston a right over the top and a right uppercut what I was saying is that those kicks are going to take away some of the movement and some of the movement is what has been a key to the success of Guston and as John continues to pick away at that leg we see him being a little bit less Nimble every time those kicks land check gson remains engaged lot of kicks and good success with the kicks for Jon Jones the spinning back kick to the Head p baral [Applause] style for second take down defense by Guston really impressed with that aspect of his game and that is look at that jab to the body and then up high and that’s something that he really realized he needed to work on his grappling and that’s why he came to Alliance right hand over the top after the Phil Davis fight knew that that he had a hole in his game and he knew if he wanted to compete with the best fighters in the world he had to make the move to America and go with a top C and not much better than Phil Davis to work on your wrestling there oh high kick again uppercut level changes by gustofson thirdd round this has been in in John’s side the most he’s ever been hit inside the octagon by strikes and the most he’s ever been hit clean but he keeps on coming nice kick to the body there by John and return by gipson inside leg kick by the [Music] swed and then the real question becomes what happens as this gets into the championship rounds is guson prepared for that he’s never been there before good uppercut a good right hand behind it by dustins big jab now to the body mixing things up nicely with the hands G again connects just pass the Midway point of this championship [Music] fight the key to John’s attack has really been the kicks in this fight that’s where he’s been the most successful behind that kick was hard Mike and you see guson taking some big deep breath there yeah John is throwing some really good kicks in this fight that the first time you see gson open his mouth wide and take big deep [Applause] breaths kick jab for the champion switching his stance a lot tonight he’s looking for that left kick again every time he does that when he goes southpaw [Applause] stop [Applause] it Guston one of three with his takedown attempts good hands again he’s finding JN Jones’s face 45 seconds look at that man gson Retreats gets back to the center of the Octagon excellent footwork by gson look at that combination a jab and an [Applause] elbow John’s looking for that spin yep there’s the elbow look at that Guston grabs a hold of him can he get another one nope amazing that the Tak Downs in this fight have been Gus [Applause] final seconds of the third check that [Applause] kick five rounds in his defense in Atlanta against Rashad Evans he went into the fourth round with Rampage and into the fourth round with VOR bfor but those were very different fights it was a very different feel of those fights this is a very competitive fight and there’s a nice left by John first time Guston has gone into the championship rounds and there’s that big right hand again your hands it’s a very different fight than those fights because John was in complete control of the Rashad Evans fight by the time he got into the championship rounds and the Rampage fight both those fights he controlled the distance and utilized his strikes but in this fight he’s the one who’s been getting tagged I mean look at their faces John has two swollen eyes big cut over the right eye there’s a nice right hand by John and he can’t get a hold of gust which is really crazy to see and there’s another thing to consider and that is the toe of Jon Jones that was badly injured in the cha sunon fight I know he had a lot of time to recover but how much of that injury is still lingering good point he thrown a lot of kicks though Joe yes he has but that was a serious injury nasty again with that right hand theu you know when you see Fighters enter the Octagon you never know what kind of injuries they’re carrying with them and almost all of them have something wrong with them come fight time there’s a nice jab by John he said physically that guson matches up better than anyone who has ever fought Jon Jones before and the combinations he’s throwing just so loose right to the body left up top but we wondered could he handle the Brilliance of the champion and thus far the answer is yes and then statistically he has the lead nice leg kick by John I would imagine that John has the leg kick advantage or the kicking Advantage is that correct yes but in overall strikes it’s Guston nice straight jab by Guston there’s a nice inside leg kick by John and another [Applause] but you know we’re in the fourth round now I mean something’s got to happen here over 120 significant strikes landed by the Challenger oh again beautiful left the most impressive thing has not just been the Striking of gson but his ability to stuff the take down yep and that sliping counter a moment ago again T off John’s got the clinch here let’s see what what he can do with it lot of time to work he drops down he’s got his hands crossed together let’s see the defense of Guston can he spread those legs can he get that base wide he got him amazing amazing and that cut is leaking into his eye badly not only does he avoid the take down but those vicious elbows in the grounding pound of J [Applause] Jones look at the cut over the eye of Jon Jones and that punch landed early Joe in the first round of the fight and that’s got to be impairing his vision now nice left hook and a jab smooth boxing by gson and still moving very lightly on his feet with the right hand despite here’s a taked down attempt again stuffed one more time wow despite the fact that he took all those leg kicks he’s still moving very well nine for nine and another one he goes up high take down the fence has been perfect for Guston he stuck all nine Jones’s Tak down [Applause] attempts oh nice left by the champion augustson takes it well but steps in with an elbow 45 seconds left in round four John looks for the spin focus focus there’s a nice elbow caught him oh that might have hurt yeah that did Jones withous knee and a vicious elbow 30 seconds left in the rounds trying to escape gson stops the take down even W hert amazing 20 seconds and stays and again with a big elbow watch the clock closely gson is hurt and he looks for the spin again guston’s busted up now final seconds of the round flying knee Guston is going to survive incredible fight Fifth and Final Round wow what a fight Jones draws blood at the end of the fourth and we have no idea if gipson is fully recovered gson was in some serious trouble towards the end of the fourth he got that left to land early nice right hand and the left behind it by [Applause] guson encounters changes [Applause] levels with the kick and he goes to the inside leg one kick two punches both men busted up this has been an incredible fight heavyweight trouble Mike two minutes on the clock gusterson looks like he’s barely keeping it together with the way he’s moving another big kick from Jones look he’s trying to make it look like he’s okay but I don’t think he is I think he’s absolutely exhausted here but still manages to stuff to take down look at how he’s moving away gets a couple punches on both of these guys are pushed to their spinning elbow from Guston what an incredible fight 90 seconds on the clock and is Alexander cson ahead on the score card who may very well be Mike the big round for John was obviously the last round but might that might be the only round he’s won what an incredible title fight John May easily be winning this round though too Mike so all he would need was one of the previous the first three one minute remains another head kick so you want to be an ultimate fighter what a fight 45 trying to make history tonight can pull it off down the stretch if he can really put something together to take this round 30 seconds has that head kick again Guston missed with the uppercut I’m amazed at guson ability to absorb that head kick and another incred 15 seconds gipson’s got a train on him man 10 seconds and guson with a trip they are going to go the distance fly knee by Jones wow what a fight unbelievable what a fight that might be the greatest title fight in the history of the light heavyweight Division I have and I have no idea who won Incredible history of on the line tonight JN Jones trying to defend for the sixth consecutive time but Alexander Guston was outstanding wow and landed nearly 200 significant strikes the judges score the contest 4847 4847 and 4946 for the winner by unanimous decision and still the Undisputed UFC light heavyweight champion of the world John Bon John he sets the record here tonight in his toughest challenge yet ready to remain the hunted here at strawweight we’ll see who can get off to a good start tonight Jean Way Lee presses forward she is in the black and she believes that she can hurt her but Yanna does her best work when she’s normally the one leading the one that starts all the exchanges joh wayy loaded up on that right hand just out of range oh oh solid right hand by Yana and she’s she’s maintained that classic Muay Thai stance look at her bouncing up and down high [Music] guard oh she’s feeling it yeah she’s fighting very well right now she’s moving bouncing and the more confidence she gets the more dominance she gets in a lot of these fights when her confidence is at at at its peak I’m sorry is when she is usually Hell on Wheels this is the danger for J J though in those exchanges those long ones way Lee has now landed a a left hook and a right hand and you know that she has The Knockout power to end her night oh beautiful grazes yon J oh my goodness oh she has mad confidence in her power now you see that she’s absorbed on J’s best shots oh she’s stunning her the danger is in the long exchanges for young J she has to land and get back to distance nice jab from you J check she’s got one of the best of those in the game yeah but it was a beautiful low kick by waye way is making her think about everything oh hell of a counter right there from the champion less than a minute to go on the round and John you’ve seen Yanna fight long enough to know that she doesn’t want to be doing this this is not her preferable type of fight so many big exchanges so early big exchanges and ones that have really really hit her [Applause] hard I mean you’re seeing redness all over her face now seconds 30 seconds definite power Advantage for Jean Way Le 15 leg kicks though have already landed for the former champ the power is the big factor it’s the big factor because in these exchanges wayy can take it and she’s getting hit by Yanna yes but she can take it and when she fires back it’s a significant difference in the impact right there she’s so fast too I mean you haven’t seen many people as fast as young J wayy seems to what I’m saying yes knee to the body there by Yanna look at this now this the exchanges here in the clinch is where waye has an advantage cuz wayy has a significant submission game and her physical strength comes into play if Yana engages in clinch Warfare with her Yanna has made strength and condition a huge part of her fight camp like you said earlier joh cuz she understood what she was up goodness El way Lee needs the body by Yana what a fight and in theory if you’re on J see now that she’s mastered that weight cut chin should be better it’s held up so far and she has out landed Jong way Lee 47 to 40 unofficially in terms of the significant strikes as we come up on the two-minute Mark here in round two oh good counter right pulling fire oh biggest shot my there right hand a little bit maybe not bad but she’s got to hurt a little bit oh side kick she’s feeling it knee to the body looks for the TR she gets it that was nasty now the fight’s on the ground for the first time she’s swelling particularly on that left excuse me that right eye yeah above it beneath it she’s getting pieced up too I mean both women are landing very well right now if you’re Jan way Lee you don’t want to take too many more of those kicks to that lead leg she’s checked a couple you want to just switch stance o o beautiful that look like a running headbutt yeah looked like a bit of a headbutt there J Switched Off to Southpaw she’s done that a few times you can see her confidence just Rising I think she’s looking for a left high kick I think that’s one of the reasons why she switched off oh she’s thuner there her coaches thought that way would gas a little bit they didn’t think she’d be able to keep that pace and right now it looks like she’s starting to fatigue a little yeah she’s looking for the left high kick that’s why she switched to South par after the success of that one kick at the end of the round plus it’s just a different look now wayy has to adjust and Yana could fight very well from this stance pretty good counter right from Jan way Lee but Yan starting to take control of this round two minutes [Applause] in Jean Way Lee has never seen Championship rounds y j has lived in those fourth and fifth rounds and in my eyes it looks like she’s coming coming on very strong here beautiful low kick there by waye oh front kick to the body that’s that’s what’s going to do well for Yana need start digging that kick in the middle sticks and moves yeah I mean wayy is looking to end it with each shot she throws but Moana is learning the timing and the distance that wayy presents and she’s managing to get away from a lot of these big shots now slicing elbow from Jean Way Lee unable to land it under two minutes in the round good defense here byana beautiful right back up to her feet though tripped again up to her feet one more time and this is going to fatigue wh even further but very I think it’s a very nice adjustment right it just gives Yan a different level of the fight to worry about it’s not going to be just a stand up fight you’re going to have to worry about glitching eventually and take down attempts but one thing Yana has shown in her career is Stellar takedown defense and an excellent ability to get up oh good kick to the body oh oh my goodness now zway lead drags Yan down but y j check right back up yanna’s got a big hematome on her forehead now folks and it looks nasty look at that oh man oh yeah and it’s swelling up as we speak yo y’s Corner wants more pace and pressure man they feel like way Leah is starting to fatigue bad I don’t think she’s at as just stay on the edge letting osna dictate early in the fight he was the one dictating the engagements second round Israel dictated everything and he had all that success because of it well in DC you can speak to being on the wrong end of a reach situation when you’re giving up eight and a half inches you got to be precise you got to just get close [Applause] man and Kelvin keeps his hands way low exchanges because when he’s on the outside his attack is just a little bit too predictable a it’s a a looping right hand to set it up and then a left hand yes [Applause] nice see in these wild are two walls colliding with each other and looking for a weakness and it’s just this is just an incredible display of courage and skill oh my Priceless look on the face of forest Griffin here we
