Rising middleweight star Bo Nickal took questions from UFC’s McKenzie Pavacich following his main card win over Val Woodburn …

because you have to cheer inside T-Mobile Arena joined by Bo nickel following another really short night in the Octagon he doesn’t want us to see much film Bo what’s going on yeah you know that was kind of the game plan of course I’m gonna have a new opponent probably matched up soon and the least uh the less film they have to study the better for me because I’m developing I’m improving rapidly every single Camp every single day I train and you know this win really goes to my coaches my coaching staff and my team I’m so grateful to be part of American top team with Mike Brown ilton Barboza Musa suleimani Anthony casar and Barry Robinson with a million Styles boxing I’m just you know I think I have the best team in the world and I think it’s showing every single fight I’m you know improving a lot and doing what I can well coming from wrestling I know that having very little time to prepare for an opponent isn’t really something that bothers you but as far as dealing with the emotion of losing your opponent and then not knowing if you were getting a new one and then getting the new one this week was that an adjustment that you weren’t really expecting oh I definitely wasn’t expecting it um you know there was I guess I won’t say I completely wasn’t expecting it because in the back of my mind I thought you know it was a possibility but when it actually happens it’s definitely a shock and so for me the biggest concern was whether I was going to get a fight or not just because I wanted to fight so bad I put in 10 long weeks of training camp and I had 50 people out here and I want to perform so bad so when they got an opponent got somebody to sign the contract I you know was all in and ready to go after your fight in March you had said you know there were some things that you wanted to work on despite getting the win um you wanted to get back into the gym right away what were those things and do you think that you were able to capitalize on them you know I’ve been I’m So Young in my career and I have so much room to develop in Striking and grappling um even in wrestling you know even though I wrestled for 20 years I think I’m still getting better at wrestling and so I just want to keep improving as a fighter every day and like I said I just have a great team around me so you know with their support and their help and I feel like I’ve been able to do that and that’s what I’m gonna keep doing I’m gonna keep pushing until I reach my goals well when can we expect we’ll see um you know right now I’m gonna hang out with my wife a little bit uh for the next couple days and then I got archery season for hunting and uh and gonna hunt some elk in September but after that I’m ready to go so I gotta go go kill an elk have some meat for my family and then we’ll get back in there yes in a family that’s expanding Congratulations by the way uh how do you think this next step in in your journey will change you as not only a fighter but then also a person I think that I’m just so excited because I know I have a really close relationship with my dad he was my coach growing up and you know really my best friend and so I’m having a son and I’m just so excited about that I had three sisters so it’s kind of nice to add a boy to the mix um and the family and uh yeah you know I think I’m just gonna do my best same as I do with fighting same as I did with wrestling or whatever I’m just going to do my best and I’m sure there’s gonna be a lot to learn but I’m excited for the journey I feel ready and I’m just grateful to have an amazing wife to kind of share the experience with potentially another wrestler on the way maybe in time for UFC 500 oh congratulations thanks so much
