it’s going to be really a pleasure and honor to watch you man um what what what was it about fighting this far down in the rankings because I could potentially be in the same position that uh that really got you motivated about this fight honestly when they call me with this guy’s name I wasn’t that excited I wasn’t that motivated at right off the bat but then I kind of started looking Inward and thinking you know well hey I do honor this what I do and I do respect this this sport if you want to call it a sport um and that’s how it goes you know I got to give these guys a crap back in the top somebody gave me my shot the division’s kind of tied up I’ve had a lot of big fights in a row so it was just the timing of it and um and also I’m 35 years old this is my 30th fight in the UFC let me toss myself in the fire with one of these young guys who who’s you know putting on these performances finishing their opponents winning five in a row it’s just the timing was right for me to test myself to see if if I still belong in there with the best guys in the world and it’s time for him to test himself to see if he belongs in the upper Edge line of the division
