I ended up in the hospital the other day, Jeff. I was in the two hours like, so I think
it was this new marinade I made with my kids chicken. Bro, I had an allergic reaction.
Vividrol didn't work. So, I started scratching. I had hives all the way up my body from my legs to my neck. My nose
and everything started swelling. I had to go to the hospital to get done. It was bad. Chill.

What's happening guys? Welcome to a special episode of Good Guy Bad Guy. I'm Chale. He's Daniel. We got a whole lot
to talk about. And at the end of the show, we're going to welcome CM Punk. Daniel, what's happening, my man?
What's going on, Chill? CM Punk's coming on the show again. I'm excited about that one. We also make our ultimate
card. They gave us $30 and they gave us a whole bunch of fighters to make a great card. Hey, little quick preview. I
went for business. Chill just made like a chill card, which is what he always does. We will get into this, but chill,
there's some news. And I mean, there's news and then there's news, right? Can I
ask you this? Can I ask you if this is still news? Kind of pissed in the cup.
He said it was for USADA. We don't use USADA anymore, chill. I mean, do we
believe that he's really coming back now? There's a lot of moving parts. First off, I I am not convinced. No, I I
am not convinced that Dana White wants to do business with Conor McGregor. Now, Dana hasn't said that, and I'm not
shoving in his lap, but Conor's made it very clear he would like to fight and that he can't get a phone call returned. And I'm just repeating the story the way
that Connor said it. Now, as far as the drug test, he said it was his first one in 10 months. And while there are names
that come up at random, standardly when a guy is not licensed in any country or
any state or any jurisdiction in the face of the planet, they skip over him. The final thing is he was on his yacht
and USAD, while not even the testing body, wouldn't have ability to get to the yacht unless his yacht is docked and
he went down and treated it like a living room, which is a little bit nerdy. So, I've got there's a few
there's a few things here that I had a hard time accepting, but that is the story the way it's been told to us.
So, the story's been told in that way. Thank you for fresh refreshing my mind on it.
I'm struggling with believing it because we've had so many start and stops in the last four years. That's it. I am now
only going on what I have seen. When Conor McGregor does fight, if he does fight, I'll be so excited to watch and
I'll be so excited to be there because it'll be on a pay-per-view because when he fights, it's a big deal. But how in
the world can we be expected to believe, Chale, that there's going to be a fight
when I can give you step by step the incidents or the starting stops that
we've had. One, Conor McGregor said he was going to fight Michael Chandler. They did the Ultimate Fighter. Stop. No
fight. Second, we get all the way to a press conference that people are leaving New Jersey to go straight to Dublin.
They get to Dublin. Connor has an issue with his foot. Stop. Does not happen.
Connor told us he was coming back again. Stop. Does not happen. Every time somebody fights, Connor's on the internet saying, "I'm back. Stop." Does
not happen. Joe, it never happens. So this all while ignoring the fact that
it's been two years since USAD has been the testimbody of the UFC. So I don't know if maybe he got that got lost in
translation or what. I I I'm not going to believe it until I get a bout agreement.
There would simply be no reason to go and test him. That doesn't mean that that didn't happen. But I am sharing he
doesn't have a license. He he is technically under UFC contract, but he doesn't have right. I'm just I'm just bringing that
to your attention. they they can test somebody if they're in the pool. But to to focus on this this moreover, when he
went to Dublin, there's been a number of rumors as to why he pulled out. The the leading one that I believe is that he
had entered rehab. If you don't believe that, then you will believe the press release they put out, which is he pulled out for a discolored pinky toe, which
may or may not be broken and may or may not be his. And for a guy that was so tough he's got a snapped leg in two and
he calls Joe Rogan over to get on his knee before we fade to black and roll the credits. I have a hard time
imagining he miss a press conference for a discolored pinky toe which may or may not be broken. Now I do want to tell you
this on Connor. I'm having a hard time Daniel. I used to be able to sneeze Connor's name Connor and I get a 100,000
people to watch. I could make money. I could get sponsors on it. I can't make money with Connor anymore. And the only
other time I've really seen this was John versus Aspenol. Towards the end,
the fans started to lose. The fight actually got smaller, not bigger. My
guess is that the audience lost faith that they could get it and did not want
to invest emotionally. And I will just tell you when I do topics on Connor and something in life such as drug testing,
people are interested. When I do a topic on Connor competing in MMA, Daniel, I
put him to sleep. And I don't know why that is. I think it's because they're at that point with us. It's a mental fatigue,
right? Because initially when he broke his leg and you first heard Connor was coming back to fight Michael Chandler,
it's pure excitement because again, he's always been exciting. He's always been able to bring eyeballs, but then all the
stops eventually you get tired of it. It's like the only person that hasn't
completely gotten tired of it is Michael Chandler because he keeps reaching out for that fight, holding on to the idea
that he's going to fight that guy. I don't know that fans are going to buy
into it until they see something real. He can hit pads. He can hit the bag. He can grab a guy and hit the body the body
bag sometimes or the body pad, but he's going to need to do more to make people
believe again. But we have all these guys, show that are like former superstars in mixed martial arts. And a
lot of them, the superstars were made by Conor McGregor. One being Nate Diaz. Nate Diaz's star rose so much after he
submitted Conor on a short notice and he beat McGregor when McGregor McGregor was at his peak of his superpowers. Nate now
says Max Holloway is cool, but he keeps
wearing my belt. He He almost talks like he wants to return. Dana White the other
day said, "I love Nate. I would love to work with Nate." So, that opens the door
for a potential Nate Diaz return. But again, this is a 40-year-old Nate Diaz
returning to the Octagon, I guess, to fight Max Holloway. Does this excite you? All right, so Dana made
a comment the other day. And just in case you haven't heard this, let me be the one to tell you because this was the ultimate tease. This Dana is at a press
conference and he tells the media, "I got something that's going to drive you suckers crazy. You're going to be
running around. I can't tell you what it is. It's coming in 2025 and it literally
just came together last night. Now, what could that be? A and how 5 days after
you announce Tom Aspenol's first title defense, 10 days after you announce a White House card, like what what could
he be sitting on? And I personally believe it is a matchup. I don't believe it's a venue. I don't believe it's a
distribution opportunity. So, what could that be? And that does open the door for names like Nate Diaz. I don't believe
that Nate is going to come back against any 155 pounder. And I have noticed when
Nate is calling guys out sometimes he he defers back to when he fought at 155. I I don't think that that's in his cards,
but I do think and I've spoke to Nate personally. I do think a return is more possible than some people give it credit
for. Yeah, I believe that there's a chance that he that he does fight him, but I
don't know, man. I I don't know. I just I just have a hard time like uh I have a
hard time thinking that Nate Diaz can fight right now with a guy like Max
Holloway because Max Holloway is still ascending. Nate is still very good. I
just don't know if you can leave MMA where same thing we talked about with Amanda Nunez. You don't get better not
doing something. And unless Nate has been in training camp this whole time wrestling, grappling, striking, it'll be
hard to get back in there at a championship level. You know, the BMF title, and this is the biggest
difference, the BMF title channel isn't what it used to be. The BMF title before
was fun. It was guys that weren't necessarily in title contention, guys that didn't really
didn't really have a path to a title right now. But now you've had the BMF
title with Justin, Dustin, Max, and those guys. Those are all like guys that
have held some version of a world championship. It's not the same BMF
division that it used to be. And I think that is why uh I'm interested because
anybody should be interested in Nate Diaz returning. I just don't know if that's the right fight for Nate Diaz.
would love it for Holloway because that means a lot of money in his pocket, but I just don't know if that's the right fight for Diaz.
And Daniel, I definitely see it your way. I feel we're having two different conversations. How would Nate do upon a
return? It is very different. I think right now we're just at the point of can we get Nate to return? That's how I
feel. Listen, George Mosol jumped back into the testing pool just to remind you. Cowboy Cerrone jumped back in the
testing pool just to remind you. Connor apparently has stayed in the testing pool just to to update you. And it just
have division if we wanted to division. I like those I like those veterans matches. That isn't generally what Dana likes to do. Jana Dana has a brand
promise that he generally sticks pretty tight to which is only the best or fighting the best moving towards
championships. So these names that we're dropping are probably mainveners and to main event fights that are not in title
contention would be unlikely. But I got to tell you, I'm for it every now and then. I like to have some fun and those
things are fun. I do. I do. And I would love a BMF division with those guys. I think the BMF should stay fun. Get those Max
Holloways out of there. They're they're too important to the title picture right now to be in the BMF title pitch. Really
quick on this show. You named George. You said George. I got
to bring up that George said he's back to fight Kobe Coington at the White House. Chill.
Yes, man. Well, listen. It wasn't that It wasn't that close fight. Chill. What are we doing,
Daniel? Thank you for that. Listen, they they fought two times. Once in once in the street and once in the ring. And the
only difference is one time Kobe could see him and one time Kobe could not see him. They went five rounds. George was
the sitting BMF champion. Kobe did not become champion. That doesn't sit terribly well with me. That fight, I can
very comfortably tell you, is not going to happen. But Kobe's participation on the White House card is expected.
Kobe could fight there. I don't know if he's going to fight George. It's just what's going to change. Kobe's style is
just no good for George. Everybody knew that from the moment you guys probably were so excited with the matchup knowing
that Kobe could fight him exactly in that way. Mazbodol, come back. Come back. Fight the Nate Diaz's. Fight the
Cowboy Cerrone. Fight those other guys. Hey, fight Nico Price and those guys that are a little bit brawlers that will
go out there and just fight you and you can still make more memories inside the Octon. Look, I I love all these guys
still wanting to compete and I think they should because when it's too late, it's too late. The moment you Yeah.
I wish like Dana said, maybe I should have fought again when I could. Now I can't. So, it doesn't matter how much
you want to. You just can't do it. Do it now, guys, while you still can. You don't want to let the time pass. These
are all interesting fights, chill. So, it got me thinking, what if we created
an ultimate UFC main card? uh our good friends at Busted Open Radio for doing
this exercise ahead of SummerSlam. They did it for wrestling. So, we're going to do it for the UFC and um there's some
rules and I don't really under I don't really like reading the rules. So, let's bring in Corporate Jake. Hey, Corporate
Jake, get in here. Where you been, Jake? You haven't been on the God mic for a while, man. What's going on? What's up, guys? Um all right, so the
rules for this are your budget is $30. Um there are four categories. First
category is $8 category with just Conor McGregor. Uh $5 category with some names
including Habib, GSP, Anderson Silva. $3 category in with names including Islam,
Nate Diaz, Ronda Rousey. And then the $1 category including names like Dustin Porier, Frankie Edgar, and Jorge Mazda.
It's a five card main card. Again, $30 budget. DC, you can give your card first and then chill.
Chill. I'm ready. I'm Hey. Hey. You know, they like to call me a corporate guy. Oh, DC is a company, man. Of course, they write me
massive checks every time I go to work. So, I'm thinking about myself and the company because the bigger the fight,
the more the guys make. One, my first fight on the card jail. It cost me $2.
I'm going Dustin Porier versus Frankie Edgar. Fresh match up. Two fun guys.
Porier could hurt Frankie and Frankie will still keep fighting and work his way back into the fight like we saw him
do against Grey Maynard on so many occasions. And we know Dustin is just an absolute dog. People love him. Main
cards always start with a fun fight. Let's do this from the start. At number two, hey, I'm going Usman Mazdall again
for the third time because remember Usman Mazvdoll, first fight was terrible. Second fight, those dudes came
out swinging. Ultimately, it ended up being a knockout for Camaro Usman. But I want that one again. Ch making money,
too. Those dudes made some good money together. Made some money. Chuck and Randy. We're going with those
two again because guess what? You put those dudes together and they made money. Chuck and Randy. Randy. Hey,
Randy treated Chuck like a child in the first fight, spanking him, taking him down. Second fight, Chuck went back to
wrestling instead Louis Abyism, then beat him up. Let's see them fight for the third time if they haven't fought
for the third time already. Hey, and they made money, man. Co-main event. Hey, me and Jon Jones because we made
money. Jail, I can tell you. Put us in there a third time. Me and Jones in the co-main event because we made money and
it's going to be a fun fight. You know the history. You know the bad blood. It will sell. You want fights with that
type of energy heading into the main event. And you know what my main event is? Another fight with that terrible
energy. There is no fight card that is ultimate without Kabib versus Connor number two. That's my main event. Kabib
Connor 2. Dude, they sold 2.7 million pay-per-views. Yeah, they made money. Chill. But I also, not
only did they make money, the whole world watched. And I have said this time and time again, Kabib went from about 3
million Instagram followers to 10 overnight. That's how big that fight
was. So, I'm taking the biggest fight in the company's history and making it the main event of the my ultimate fight
card. Did you like it at 21? I first off, I loved it. And you're right, that Connor and Kabib is very fun
to reminisce about. I mean, they had leaders of the world that were watching that fight and on standby. That's the
only fight that Dana wanted so badly. Dana didn't accept Kabib's resignation. Remember when Kabib tried to give the
belt back and Dana's like, "No, no, no, no, no. You keep it." And Kabib's like, "No, I don't need it anymore." D's like, "I let's talk. Just keep the belt.
All right, here's what we're going to do. Now, you came at it from the boys standpoint. I roll with the company. My
first match, BJ Pin versus Diego Sanchez. And I'm going to charge those
two wild cards each $10 to do the fight. So now all of a sudden, my budget went from 30 to 50. And I got some room to
play with. I'm going to put Kayla versus Amanda, five spot each. No explanation needed.
I'm going to put Nick Diaz. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Uh-huh.
You don't get 50, you get 30. I charged BJ and I charged Diego. I went to the
good $20 on that scrapfest. That's the part that you missed. The girls, no
explanation. Now I'm back to the boys. We got Nick Diaz versus Kabib. And the
reason that's interesting is Nick's ability to deconstruct somebody. Nick's
ability to to to stay in the fight, make it use some energy, hang in there. So, I'm going with that one. For match
number four, possibly the greatest super fight of all time that got away from us. The GOAT, George St. Pierre versus
Anderson Silva. Those boy those boys are both getting seven and a quarter. Which
takes me to my main event, which are both getting a 10 spot. Brock Lesnar
versus Francis Sangano. If you came up with that math or you stayed with me, I'm still 15 bucks to the good and I
feel I got a card that can match yours. Well, yeah, but you only First off, you didn't follow the rules.
You only did four fights instead of five. You're cheating.
We got We had the the BJ fight with Kayla Harrison St. Pierre. We had Kabib
and then we had Oh, yeah. You did do five. You did do five. Counting is hard. I'm not embarrassing. Like counting is hard. By the way, big
old Why do you look so good? Why do you look so good? I feel like I feel like you're trimming up. Is this his new shirt you're wearing or you lifting again?
I've trimmed up. I've trimmed. You look good, buddy. 17 lbs. I'm going to get on the treadmill soon as you leave. Good job,
dude. I ended up in the Hey, love the ultimate card, by the way. But I have to share a story with you. I ended up in
the hospital the other day, Jeff. I was in the two hours. Like, so I think
it was this new marinade I made with my kids chicken. Bro, I had an allergic
reaction. Badrol didn't work. So, I started scratching. I had hives all the
way up my body from my legs to my neck. My nose and everything started swelling. I had to go to the hospital to get done.
It was bad. Chill. I've got like scratches all over my body from just itching. Dude, it was the craziest.
I don't like that. I don't want anything to happen to you. But in the event that it does, can I have that shirt? Like,
can I come over and just take Can I say he get Can I just take the shirt? It's called Daniel Cormier's Midcows Wrestling.
I don't want anything to happen. I'm But if it does, can I t-shirt? Thank you. Okay. So So you you are trying to uh not
you don't want harm to come to me, but a guy that wants to harm someone gets an
opportunity this weekend as CM Punk challenges Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship. So now let's
talk to the boy CM Punk. All right, guys. Now we're joined by the one and
only CM Punk. Call him Phil. Philly Phil, but on Saturday night, you better
call him CM Punk. What's up, Punk? What's up, Daniel Cormier? How are you? I'm good, man. I'm good. I I'm fired up.
Hey, let me tell you something. We're going to talk about a few things. First, we're going to talk about the WWE show
Unreal on Netflix, which is phenomenal, by the way. But first, Chel Summerslam,
you versus Gunther. Ch for the first time. Punk might be up against it cuz that Gunther is a bad bad man.
Dan, can I get into this? So, so, so, so Punk, I I see Gunther. He gets over on
Goldberg. You draw into him. Tell me about it. Um, Gunther. Geez. Uh Gunther's a guy
that I feel uh I'm super excited to get in the ring with. You know, like you said it, he's on fire. Like this dude
is the best wrestler in the world. You know, he's got the gold to prove it,
too. But like just everything about him is a throwback. I think uh he's refreshing. I think he's he's he's real,
you know. uh really really it I I don't know if I can
he he he had me speechless the one Monday and I'm almost speechless now trying to explain like how excited I am
to to get in there with him like you know because he's he's a guy who represents the business to me. He's a guy who represents the current business
and you could take him and you could drop him into a territory in the 60s and and he would thrive. you could put him
in, you know, Madison Square Garden in the 70s across from Bruno or whatever and he would thrive. So, he transcends,
you know, decades to me. So, he's he's one of the best right now. That's what I love. Oh, go ahead.
That's what I love. That's what I love about his style is that old school style. And you get into that, too,
right? Because me and Chel me and Chel are like body slam, power slam, you hit
him with the kicks. You guys go into that old type of move set, but ultimately it's about the match, right?
And it's about the respect. But Punk, it's about becoming world champ again, right? You It's been a while since we've
worn the gold around our belt. One of my most memorable title reigns was that one long one you had when you and Paul Hey
were together and you were It was when you went Hey, what were you what was it? It wasn't um
Oh, it straight edge. Oh my god. The straight edge superstar. You were so annoying, but you were so good at it.
you were so mean to everybody. You were shaving heads. You were shaving heads and doing everything. But like, how
excited are you to potentially wear gold again since you got back to the WWE?
You know, it it at this stage in my career when I'm obviously looking at uh you know, I'm closer to the end than I
am the beginning. Uh I think to me it kind of validates the the work I've been
doing. you know, winning a belt at this stage would just kind of put uh like a
stamp, you know, it's an exclamation point on me returning to the WWE and and and everyone having whatever their
expectations were be kind of shattered, you know, because I feel like I've been doing the best
work of my career, you know, these last two years. And, you know, the the belt
that's to me that's what that belt means. It means it's like it's a little thank you, you know. It's a you're
you're the centerpiece. You're the guy on top. You're the guy carrying the show. It's already been two years back.
I mean, it'll be two in November. Like, I'm getting a little bit ahead of myself, but yeah, time flies, man.
Yeah, it's crazy. Punk, I was watching Unreal last night. I loved it. Now, I went in there with a
little bit of a a critique given by former UFC champion Josh Barnett, and Josh just felt
that it revealed too much of the business. Dana White had produced a show, and he only he only made one of
them, and Dana pulled the plug. And Dana said the same thing that even at the UFC, it's it's showing too much behind
the scenes. When you watched Unreal, did you come away thinking the business was
exposed or the business was spotlighted? cuz I must tell you as a Mark I loved it.
Yeah. So, both, you know, Josh isn't wrong. Um I I'm old school as Daniel's already
said. You know, maybe I'm just old, I don't know. Uh but, you know, you're you're taught to protect the business.
You're taught to not give away your secrets. And I'm very big on there's a lot of things that are just for us, you
know, like uh just as there's a lot of things for the fighters that aren't necessarily for the managers or even for
Dana, right? Like there's a there's a brotherhood there. So, I would like to protect all of that
as much as I can. I watched all five episodes and there were some things of course I rolled my eyes at and I was
annoyed at, but my 90% my takeaway was this was fantastic because you get to
see like somebody like Charlotte and it it humanizes her, you know, um
there's the wrestling fans and especially the ones who are consuming this, the hardcore wrestling fans,
they're they're always going to watch, but they all have these parasocial relationships with us. They think they
know us. I think this can kind of peel back the curtain a little bit to show you that
like, no, man, like we have real human emotions. We're human beings just like
everybody else. You probably don't know us the way you think you do. And for somebody like Charlotte, I think who's,
you know, a lot of the times grossly misunderstood, I think this kind of makes it it softens her a little bit.
and you get to see, you know, Ashley instead of Charlotte. I love talking to her at WrestleMania
because I was like, "Wow, she is so much nicer than you gain the idea from just
people, right?" You know, I don't know her. I interviewed her two years ago at WrestleMania and then this year. And this time it was 101, but all I went
into the interview was with all the ideas of what I hear on online and everybody's like, "Oh, she's this and she's this." It's just because she's
winning. Everybody loves you when you win initially, then they start to hate you because you win too much. But right,
I think my favorite part of watching was I watched and you walked out on Monday
Night Raw. You cross your feet and you sit, you start talking, then they cut
you off and it said this was Phil talking as CM Punk and you just let it
all hang out. You spoke about the frustrations and you spoke about the changes and you and H both talked about
the changes that allowed for you to come back when you came back and you see the WWE today and you are contributing in
the way that you've always contributed but to an even higher level. How refreshing is that for you to know that
now there's just all this appreciation for what CM Punk brings to the product?
I thought that was fake by the way. I thought that was all planned. I thought it was all planned until I saw that last
night. No. Um, it's such a strange business, right?
Because you're always going to have the people who will watch and like they're
going to tell me about my life and and everything and they they know more than me about me.
So, we we can get away with, you know, bending things and not letting people
see everything and kind of controlling the narrative. Uh, but when there's cameras following you around and we knew
that, you know, okay, we're filming this thing. Okay, I'm going to be a featured part of it. Okay. But I still didn't
know like what was going to make the show and what was there and you see like I've I'm having a conversation as
wrestlers like we do and somebody tells a story about how they [ __ ] themselves in the ring one time and then everyone
everyone starts talking about it like, "Yeah, I've I've done that. I've done this." Blah, blah, blah. Um, being back
now, I everything is I I call it extra credit. I've had a a wonderful career.
Um, some people say a hall of fame career prior to me coming back. But to come back and to man like every day
overflowing with gratitude like every day like I wake up and I don't have to
go to work, I get to go to work. Like that's the way I I view it. So everything
in the last year and a half and going forward is is is really just kind of my
love letter to to pro wrestling and I I feel like I it's a it's a second chance and I never thought I was going to get.
So I'm really trying to savor everything and uh it's nice to be appreciated. You
know it it's it's a nice feeling. Yo Romero did that too. Yo Romero done
Yo Romero done crapp his ass in the middle of the octagon. They said there is the worst smell ever, dude. They
interviewing Romero and he done pooed on himself in the middle of the octagon jail. You remember that? That don't make
no damn sense. It happens a similar fate. All right, Punk, can we talk brass tax real fast?
Eric, could you come around here? At some, this is important that you know this. At some point in the match, Gunther is going to come for your neck.
Okay. Yes. Yes. You'd like to catch the arm, but it doesn't always happen. an unknown technique. You can go over the
top and grab his head. Now, it works best if you're on your feet, you drop to his ass, it'll hurt his teeth. And the
next thing you got to consider, punk, grab the rope. If he gets you in the sleeper, you got to get to the rope.
Get caught in that. What if I just put a thumb in his eye? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. All right. There's four options. There's
That's also an option. Fine. Take it there. You cannot get caught in that. You cannot get And if Herb Dean's the referee, he's not
going to call it. You know what I mean? Just No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Last weekend it was Jason Herszhog that let somebody
murder inside the octagon. Like what in the world was happening? They got a couple to watch. It got a couple,
huh? A little bit. That was a little bit too much. And we love out a little bit. We love a good beating. Okay, Punk. CM
Punk UFC returns to Chicago. You return to the WWE in Chicago. Dude, it's a big
deal. I'm excited. Chill and I are excited. We get to do our show live there. How excited are you that we're
heading back to Chicago? I'm very excited. I'm probably ultimately going to be very disappointed, too, because I don't know
if I can go to the show. I got to look at my calendar. Um, that's going to be a w that's going to
be a wild main event. Yes, it will. Yeah. Yeah, that is Drake is the Hamza.
It It's so hard to bet against Chimayv, you know, like especially after what he
just did to Whitaker. It's just like, you know, but I I I I think Driscus is
really really smart. Probably smarter than a lot of people give him credit for. And like he knows what his game plan is going to be. He knows Chamay is
going to come and like try to dive on an ankle like right out of the gate, you know? So, I'm sure he's doing his
preparations. That's what's going to make this so fascinating. Like, I don't even know if I see this making five rounds. And if it does, we're probably
going to have two very, very like tired fighters in there. is going to maybe look like uh what was it? What was that?
Was it Derrick Lewis and Nagatu? Oh, that was so slow. I had to fight after that. I I was like in the back
like I was like, "Yo, we thought this was going to be a fast fight, man. They go 15 minutes. I'm in the back taking a
nap. They have to wake me up. DC, you walking like come on. We You weren't the only one napping."
Who ever would have thought that that would be as boring a fight? Punk. Will you really maybe not be at the Chicago show? That actually is a
blow. You're not scheduled, brother. I'm so busy. Like, it's
absolutely insane. What is it, the 18th? Yes. Yeah, I know. We're We're in Europe for
like a big chunk of uh August, but I don't think it's until the last week of August. So, I got I got to double check.
I got to I got to check things out. But hopefully hopefully I'll be there. I'm going to sit next to my boy Bal. You
know, we're going to hold your foot to the fire. We're going to put you on camera if you come. If you ain't there, we're going to just show an empty seat. This
is where CM Punk's supposed to be. All right, so Punk, hey, we saw you were
very emotional after headlining WrestleMania. SummerSlam goes to two nights this year for the first time. How
important is it for you that main event that massive event, the biggest show of the summer for the WWE and what is the
first time that it's a twoight extravaganza? Well, it's it's I I think it's two
nights because this thing just keeps getting bigger and bigger, you know. Um, I keep waiting for the wheels to fall
off or the train to slow down and it's just it's a runaway train at this point. Um, monster records. We're breaking
gates and attendance things and you know, I know I don't know how everybody feels about that, but like I'm proud.
I'm proud of the crew. I'm proud of everybody who's uh busting their ass to make all these things happen. Um, so
SummerSlam two nights to me is fun. You know, I I think a lot of wrestling fans come out and they can make a week of it
with their family. Uh, I think Triple H just recently said something like it's like Disney World
for for wrestling. And I I see that. I definitely see that. Um,
traditionally we've had Wrestlemania during colder months. So, for two
nights, Summerslam being in a a warm environment, I think, is just it's a
better idea. You know, instead of being cold, you can you can be hot. you know, you can go to the beach and then you can come see wrestling and then, you know,
you can do it all again the next day. Me main eventing, um, I think it's important. It's important for the title.
I think it's important for Gunther. I think the title should more often
times than not always be featured in a main event. So, uh, I'm, you know, I'm looking forward to not only main
eventing SummerSlam, but stealing the whole weekend, you know what I mean? Yeah. Yeah. Absolutely. You guys did
that at WrestleMania. That was sick. That that threeman match was crazy at WrestleMania. Joe, you got
Look, I I caught on. I got a name drop here. Okay, but they put me in a section. I'm with Terence Crawford. I'm
with Daniel Cormier. I'm with Chris Angel. Jelly Roll sitting there and the dude from Breaking Bad. I realize Kobe
Coington and I realize what's about to happen. We realize that Haymon couldn't
be trusted. and we decide if we can chant and yell this loud enough and get
this message to you that we could change the course of events. And I swear to you as your friend, I did everything in my
power cuz my voice was gone trying to let you know you could not trust Heymon.
You should have hit the ring, dude. I don't know why you didn't. I didn't know. I tried to talk Kobe into that. I said,
"Kobe, let's go. They're going to bounce us, but we'll be on TV with CM Punk." I swear to goodness we talked about that.
Hey, I would I would have enjoyed that. Punk, you could see how much Chale and I really appreciate you joining our show
and how much we uh appreciate the WWE and what you guys do. And hey, ESPN
appreciates WWE because listen to what I'm about to say right now. Jaylen and I used to work at a different network and
we always say we used to work at another network. We would all just go, that's how we say it. We don't say what network
it is. But as we let you go and I tell you thank you, I will now tell the fans
that SummerSlam is live this weekend starting on Saturday 6:00 p.m. on
Peacock. You can go to Peacock and stream SummerSlam to watch CM Punk fight
wrestle and compete and then stay Sunday to watch more great wrestling. Summerslam goes down this weekend live

joining us, my friend. We appreciate you so much every time you come on for the bad guy chill, son. For the legend CM
