thank you so much guys Dustin you are here in Las Vegas because there are fights and there is Formula 1 this weekend but we want to talk about your future because so many people are waiting to know what is the diamond getting back in the Octagon do you have any sort of timetable I’ve been thinking about 300 I think that’s a big event you know like I said in another interview I missed 200 I’m not going to be around for 400 so that would be like pretty cool for me but um just have to see opponents and the landscape at that time what’s going to happen I don’t know but I think I’m going to fight beginning of next year the opponent is is what we’re for yeah I’m glad that you brought that up you need to see opponents in landscape because how do you look at 155 as it currently stands right now well if Olivera is getting the the fight again with u makev gatei is going to be next he’s going to sit out and wait for that because he’s guaranteed himself a shot so how long is that going to take you know so I’ve got to fight somebody um it just depends who the biggest fight I can make is yeah well any fight with you is a big fight but what do you think about the younger Talent also coming into this division is it nice for you to see some maybe newer names come into the rankings at 155 and bring in that fresh blood for sure you know the lightweight division’s been super competitive and kind of topheavy for the last I don’t know how many years but a long time and we can’t just keep fighting the same guys over and over again so yeah the new crops going to keep coming in they’re going to sink or swim and we’ll see what’s up you mentioned UFC 300 obviously we’re all looking forward to that card and what amazing matchups could potentially be on there you know we’ve heard Connor say he wants to fight on there he’s supposed to fight Chandler he’s mentioned that another fight with you has to happen is that something you would say yes to for a fourth time we’ll see I I I probably would try to shut him up once and for all but even if I slap his ass around again he’s still going to be chatting so we’ll see um is him and Chandler official for that I don’t know what’s going on I don’t think any of us know what’s going on I don’t even know if they know what’s going on yeah I’m I’m with you guys I don’t know what’s going on but that could be another you know that’s a huge fight two in one against him I don’t really see another reason for it but it’d be a huge fight I know that you were willing to step in um for the Abu Dhabi card I I’m curious how often are you training how much are you ready to say hey I can take any of these short notice fights or say they call you and say we want to add you to the January card is that something that you could do if the if like a title fight opportunity for sure if it’s just like a another fight I mean I’ve done this for so long I don’t want to just jump into a short notice fight unprepared unless it’s like that one was but that one was kind of cool because I just landed in South Florida all my whole team was there um Hunter actually called me the day I flew in like 3 hours after I flew in so I’m like oh man this is perfect timing my Brown’s here my boxing coach is here they don’t have any fight trips coming up for the next two weeks so I thought it was like I accepted it you know I love that you’re always accepting fights that other people might say no to but Dustin Before I Let You Go we’re approaching the holiday season you have a beautiful daughter and wife you have such a great family we love seeing them around fight week but if you had one holiday wish for your professional career what would it be for 2024 to get a huge fight on 300 write the ship get back in the wind column have a great performance put on a war and uh get home save I love that Dustin thank you so much um have fun at the races I don’t know how you’re going to stay awake he’s here at the fights early this morning the races are late tonight but if anyone can do it it’s Dustin porier guys
