look at this it’s over it’s over unbelievable I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more dominating performance in my life boss routin oh unbelievable look at this 2 minutes 53 seconds of the opening round we’ve got a new Pride middleweight Tournament champion his name is Mauricio Shogun and with us here in the cting booth and gentlemen we have ho Gracie ho tonight the Gracie team beat the Japanese team what about that it’s a victory for the world everybody’s learning I think so too I think that what H said he was absolutely right ho Gracie of course Very instrumental important mixed martial arts on the map and hoist you have to be very pleased with your family’s efforts here at Bushido the first time ever that five Gracie members appeared on a card together you guys prevailed 3 to2 and we already have Shi with the takedown of Shogun haa so your thoughts on five members of your very famous family uh doing what they did here tonight at buo we got a lot of Young Generation coming up it’s uh it’s going to be a very good it’s going to be a very good New Year’s all right now underground here let’s see what’s going to happen he’s going through the full guard PO let us know what Would You Do Well sui got a lot of heart yes but mace comes from a very tough school I’ll say Maurice should bring the fight up yes I think so too he’s a phenomenal Striker but good on the ground too oh yeah Shogun displayed some of that tremendous striking ability and his only loss his last B that came at the hands of ronado Babalu SRA he ended up being submitted via joke already a knee bar here by Ai and he’s C he almost looked like it was over there momentarily for Mauricio shun but heer kick a big kick at the knees and is exactly right hor you are exactly right he’s got to keep it on his feet and that’s what he’s doing right [Applause] now ooh in the grind there’s a low [Music] blow Shi may be give yes he’s going to be given an opportunity here time out has been called timeout has been called and that’ll give us an opportunity ho to um ask you where you see the sport of mixed martial arts going how do you see it continue to evolve in the next few years it’s all over the world right now it’s start in Brazil about 80 years ago 70 years ago we find this all over I love it we see all the martial arts disciplines now the cross training how do you see it continue to evolve you guys are the first family Brazilian jiu-jitsu we see people now able to counter a lot of what jiujitsu brought to the sport do you see it continue to evolve in in the tactics itself on on the was a was a sport I mean was a was a style against a style today who’s better prepared yep it’s a figh against a fire yep and we see this fight resume now and they continue now to stand up a kick there by Shogun oh a beautiful right kick to the rib cage there take Joi now back into the full guard a Shogun that’s some nice stking right there from Shogun Aira so you better keep this fight underground you know Shi is known as the showman is one of Pride’s most popular competitors but not always the most successful his size has hurt him in the past but he has now lost the weight as we’ve said he went to America in fact trained with Matt Hume at AMC pantion for a year that included training with bride veterans B Smith a legl coming up guys okay he letting him go whoa not good here the left one hit and the right one hit oh modifi what a heart man what a heart you know that shi has a strong chin able to absorb those shots s minutes to go this has been a very exciting three minutes already we obviously have already seen Shogun striking ability and you can really Color Me impressed wait a minute we have [Applause] [Applause] shoot knee to the head oh love do for hit he finally knocked down to the canvas is Akira Shi and is over Shogun winner [Applause] winner Mauricio shogun’s debut at Bushido is a Victorious one at 3 minutes and 47 seconds he koos The Pride veteran Akira Shi wow and what a victory he is pinpoint accuracy with his strike the left H connected right Str everything right away he went to the to the reverse sucker kick because he tried to Stomp The sucker ball into the ground instead of keeping it into the goal but it worked and it play off o your thoughts on what you’ve just seen Mauricio Shogun do here to Kiri like I said Maurice he knows stand up very well in the gra he he know enough to bring the fight up that’s awesome fight awesome and there you see the rest of the shoot box celebrate with Mauricio we see vanderlay Silva the middleweight Powerhouse his older brother [Music] ninja there we see the replay boss Bang watch this oh and a stiff left watch the stiff left he’s going to connect nice but man can Aira Shi take a shot oh yes he can he possesses a granite chin D that one I meant and there it was and there is the try to stump the ball into the floor kick that that was the one the guard right through the guard Kiri gets knocked out Mauricio Shogun in electrifying fashion via KO wins his debut at Bido and again we want to thank Hoy Gracie the Mixed Martial Arts legend for joining us here at Bri Bushido be my pleasure thanks for 3 minutes and 47 seconds it was great I did it on purpose you’re right but uh B you know Mario it was amazing performance and uh you know you are obviously a Brazilian jiu-jitsu special but uh We’ve also seen you in the past uh especially with uh Mauricio shogun’s brother Millo we know that you can trade blows and uh you obviously showcase that tonight yeah I’ve been training a little bit uh my hands and my feet and this is going to be a good fight well and uh speaking of a good fight we have a nice uh right hand there deliver a right leg kick by uh Shogun how do you see this one going Mario yeah Shogun is a very aggressive fighter he’s going to do that all the time and uh he’s pretty dangerous in the ground too yep look at his striking he is very accurate in his striking um I think the key to success what I would say if I was uh a kill Jo take take the fight down don’t stand with him yeah he’s a very tough fighter because he he behaves very well in the ground and he behaves very well with standing up so there’s a see what’s going to happen right now in the knees being rained in by Shogun you know most of the Japanese Fighters are very softspoken very uh self effacing go no had a bit of a chip on his shoulder during the interviews you guys and he he didn’t seem to take uh Shogun haa to Ser well he took him seriously but he he didn’t seem to be uh too respectful of Shogun if you will I think he wanted to maybe stand up with him and go Toe to Toe will he regret it who knows yeah we better see wait the fight just beginning I think he’s getting tired though yeah but you know what I nice body shot you see that’s what I always love people going to the body liver especially of course but it right straight to the body at the right moment is perfect too you know there’s added incentive here for Mauricio shogan not only does shoot box have already a loss in this best of three Series in the last bout but uh H gono does hold a victory over shoot boox member Nelson dcastro in November of last year so uh some added incentive there for Mauricio Shogun in this tilt what do you think that gono has to do right now Mario yeah he has to strike because if he goes to the ground shun is much better than him also yeah yeah okay so there’s no chance yeah he’s in I think he’s in trouble right now but you know a fight can is unpredictable go are well put together individual you guys though a good physical shape is goo the Japanese fighter and of course Shogun coming off a victory over Aira Shi at the first bito and there’s a knee coming it’s a stand up War right now between goo and Shogun but it’s all one-sided for the shoot boox fighter you know what the things is with the shoot boox Fighters they don’t get tired for some reason hey one of the reasons boss they train at full power in Muay Thai Brazilian jiu-jitsu and valy tudo they often incur injuries but they say that’s just the way it is and something tells me that may be the same philosophy of Brazilian top team am I right Mario yeah in Brazil we have uh you know a lot of small shows and uh in those small shows we find a lot of good fires they train everything wrestling white tie boxing Jiu-Jitsu so the competition in Brazil is pretty hard so when you see a Brazilian fight fighter fighting in America or Japan we can bet he’s good yeah we one thing for sure the Brazilian is doing real good right now like you did tonight 15 no 11 seconds it was 11 seconds man than guy oh nice knee but there’s gono throwing a Shogun to the mat now in the butt scoop position is Hua and Goa wants to keep it on its feet though he just stands up like nothing going on he just stands up gono doesn’t do anything you know gono likes James Tony Roy Jones Jr the boxers would love to emulate their boxing style we haven’t seen any indication of that so far he’s being overwhelmed there’s a knee right up the middle by haa hey hey that’s what they do with Thailand you know Shogun uh was 10 and zero in his Muay Thai career finished fourth of the BJJ World Championships this guy is very very well-rounded and has a very bright future doesn’t he Mario yeah he’s a great fighter he as you said he’s very well-rounded he he knows a lot of Jiu-Jitsu as you can see he he knows how to fight standing up he has a lot of endurance and his young kid he’s about 21 if I’m not if I’m not wrong with the left hand oh look at that goo can’t take a shot he definitely can do that what are the plans for Brazilian top team this year Mario while the action is hot and heavy here if you have an opportunity any big plans for BTT this year it’s going for the outside hill trip sorry yeah we are we are focusing now for the Grand Prix and uh also maybe Ricardo Rona can get a shot for the middleweight belt in Pride and now we are trying to get somebody El in in in UFC good stop how about yourself what’s your next plan after that big victory tonight I’m waiting for the invitation I mean I’m always ready to fight and that’s the the thing that I like most in my life I like I like to train I like to be you know all the time training well there oh Shogun got tagged there yeah but the front kick was good too well the front kick was good but that was the first uh sign that gono POS possesses some power as well well what is your weight Mario I’m weighting now 220 lbs around around that a little bit more really depends but now 220 22 2020 so what’s going to happen if you going to be one of the 16 guys we going to go in you guys are we beginning to see an indication that Shogun may be tiring a bit what do you think man that he’s going like an he’s going like the shinkansen here Brazilians are known for their incredible stamina and especially Shogun and I’m just wondering if now gono may be able to capitalize even though Shogun is beginning to get busy again with the knees this may be an opportunity I think he just slowed down a little bit cuz you know nobody can can go that speed all the time he just slowed down a little bit and he’s going to think about and I know strategy or something but this is where gono should start to get busy exactly exactly now I think it’s going to be his [Music] time yeah this is a very high paced fight I mean the speed the if you start counting the punches and kicks that Shogun threw it’s got to be like over 100 at least 150 something like that and if you extrapolate that to a regular boxing fight which is like three minute rounds that’s incredible yeah and I we’re probably through the halfway point of this the first 10-minute round with a 5minute round to follow and they are wrestling a little bit too oh kick body yeah it’s all the round so we’re into the final three minutes of this opening 10 minute round there’s a body lock and outside hill trip Tak down by gono sh he Reser he he can res reverse the the fight almost all the time he’s got a good sweep and half guard and he’s now trying to do that now we shall see if he’s can he’s gonna be able to to and you guys brought up a good point too that he’s been going at such full speed that he may even just take a bit of a break here now and just here he goes here he goes here you go you’re right there’s a sweep attempt yeah here he goes he’s going to try to stick his right hand uh under he G legs there he [Music] goes nice yeah he’s defending very well though good good Escape there yep like you said he’s getting up pretty much at will this got to be really frustrating for goo here legl coming up oops that’s could be a heel hook no he’s pulling out nothing I saw somebody also one time slip out very fast with a heel hook wasn’t that you Mario they give you he gone gona was a baseball player before taking up MMA 10 years ago and so far not exactly hitting it out of the park it’s Shogun that’s been successful and there’s a tie clinch again the knee straight up the middle that rock go no that rock go no and here let’s see if he can finish the job Shogun on hanging on for dear life here he has to push him away he has to push him away and just go right straight the Mario SP punch that’s what he needs right now bang on the button boom boom there you go can take a shot you guys there it is he’s finally down there kick and it’s over unbel there we goio Shogun haa with the soccer kick finishes akiro gono and a round of applause from Mario Sperry here at the broadcast table in the final minute 9 Minutes 6 seconds of the first round it is Mauricio Shogun who are knocking out akaho gono and unfortunately for gono he looks like he’s still out he didn’t stop a minute unbelievable the the face the the the going it was unbelievable Paces right boss 9 Minutes full he just went both of them really I mean Goa was in incredible condition as well to be able to take the abuse he did double left double left boom knee and that ped him watch who oh and that’s that’s go that’s what they do in Brazil there you go the soccer kick the soccer kick Mario Sperry where do you see Mauricio shog going whoa do you think that the future for him is uh for him really like I saw I I saw this skid the first time in a jiu-jitsu tournament and uh he showed a lot of skills already and then uh he start training Muay Thai and as you can see he’s a nature ugly he learned so fast and he’s got a lot of endurance and and combining mu Tha with jiu-jitsu can be a deadly man well we thank you for thrilling us tonight as wellred performance Mario you guys take care thank you much for me too man well it’s only fitting boss that the third boat tonight the main event will decide this best of three series we hope that aiiro gono with the medical staff attending to him will be all right he suffered a a just all kinds of punishment tonight but Mauricio Shogun haa records the victory here at Bido 2 the third and deciding bout is coming up it’ll be vanderlay Silva versus eoha minoa Team vanderlay versus Team Japan is coming up and boss let’s revisit it one more time here it is this is how it ended here we go bang bang thank you ma’am and now we go go that’s the ciruit kick from Brazil oh Lio town and Sho celebrates in the center of the Ring Mauricio Shogun Hua victorious in Pride Fighting Championships Bushido 2 from the Yoko Hama Arena he doesn’t even look tired look at him look at him it’s unbelievable good job man wow wow Maro this is going to be a great fight you watch Macio tremendous way to kick off Bushido 5 here with with Mauricio Shogun returning to Pride Fighting Championships in namakwa coming off a victory over edig just valus with the guillotine choke at Bushido 2 avenging a loss to valus at a Rings event in 2001 a course Shogun also undefeated in Pride at two and zero made his debut in October of 2003 at the initial b event coming off with a flying knee to kick off the matchup boss and that was a goody to the Sola pleus there and he will not stop once he goes he will keep going last time it was unbelievable like 9 and 1/2 minutes non-stop of fighting we talked about his debut he used a flying knee to knock out Mr Pride Akira Shi and that at Bushido 2 he tikoo akihiro gono with strike so we know that he is a very well-rounded Fighter coming from the shude box Academy in Brazil and a good start for Mauricio Shogun here at Bushido 5 knee that should have been a little bit higher yeah nice inside leg knes there his opponent namaka known more for a submission fighting boss yeah but he’s got to take him down to the ground first and as you can see Shogun has a real good takedown defense stays away away with his hips all the way back from him got the underhook overhook lock going now to Shogun along the ropes and of course here in Bido with the 110 minute and one 5minute round the Mandate is action looking for the RP taked down is Shogun has him in the corner now a nice in the face double under hook almost oh and high kick there there we go the canvas and looks like now maau is in some trouble here boss right hands are just raining down now from Shogun oh look at that that is a patented after kick there after vanderlay Silva his stablemate and Shogun looking very effective here in the early going of round number one and he definitely has uh focused on weightlifting and conditioning doing a lot of swimming always in great shape but he looks to be in the best shape that we’ve ever seen him here in Pride Fighting Championship spot now he’s got his back he’s got his back and he’s working nonstop it’s like I said you know you saw him the last time he will keep going and going he won’t stop he’s got an unbelievable amount of and it doesn’t look like namakwa able to really defend himself intelligently from the back Y and it’s under no he defensive and a good turn around nice reversal by namakwa into the open guard now may go for leg no nice up kick delivered by Shogun boss the Mandate is action and we are seeing it here in the first matchup of Bushido 5 yep it’s unbelievable how these guys keep going looking for the single leg is Shogun back up to their feet nice take down there now he’ll try to pass the guard you can see some blood beginning to trickle out of the mouth of namikawa not in a dangerous place whatsoever tried to deliver some elbows there to the shoulder blade and now you see their shun raining in those right hands boss yeah he’s got solid right hands and those elbows to the shoulder blades they could land on the collar bone if it breaks the color bone it’s the end of the fight nice here half guard probably going to go to the side now exactly looking for that side control and there you have it now this is very dangerous for namikawa but look at n he catches the kick to the face and there’s that stomp [Music] attempt Shogun continues to stock his opponent he is all over Nam maawa and continues to just reain in those strikes now MAA will give him full credit though trying to stay alive and how much more can he sustain here as it’s been a Brazilian Onslaught courtesy of Shogun and it looks like for a minute there he had his foot boss from underneath yeah but all the Sho bugs guys they are so good in escaping leg looks look at this it looks like almost he doesn’t want to fight now anymore because this going to be over he’s getting so much punish but look at this now he’s striking him from underneath the armpit there Shogun quickly glancing over at the referee Yugi shamada wondering how much more of this barrage he’s going to allow now he’s got full Mount y not good not good for namikawa but NWA has and there it is full rear naked choke here no he’s got arm in between yeah he’s you know he has only one La he should have both LS around him didn’t get the full hooks in there but he might go no looked like he went thrown out would go for an number but what a fast pace though boss for the first 5 minutes of round number one and this is what Shogun and all the shoot box Academy is known for we saw this against akihiro gono and there’s another soccer kick to the Head a stomp to the face and how much more is namakwa going to take oh nice aiming there I mean this namakwa can take a shot five minutes I told you he’s not going to stop once he starts he is not going to stop look at this Simon he should rain knees to the body I mean is he’s tired knees to the body right now would be a very effective weapon obviously he has mauled his head and now if he goes to work on his body I mean how much more can he sustain he’s got his back now he’s got it oh nope it’s interesting that he attempts it seems to set him up for the rear naked and then all of a sudden he goes to the body and is it because what why is that boss why isn’t he not going to going for the armar now yep not able to extend the arm yep it’s interesting it’s always dangerous when somebody’s an all Force to make an arm bar like that and in the position as well in the ring yep oh man look at his face now maawa is going to be forced to put his modeling career on hold after this match up boss I mean Shogun just absolutely destroying him [Applause] and the winner of [Music] braio unbelievable but true Mauricio Shogun wins via TKO due to the referee [Music] stoppage 6 minutes and 2 seconds into the first round ion knockout the winner B anyway it was a good stoppage because look at him laying here he doesn’t want to have anything [Music] anymore and here we have Shogun and look at the replay now nice knee to the head [Music] there we’re going to get the soccer kick and there we go and the stomp kick yep there it is [Music] and luk how he escaped that lag you know namikawa was grabbing his food but he easily turned away pulled it out easy and again in the replay front bang that was pretty much the the end of this fight it was the end of the fight definitely a onesided affair as Mauricio show G Hua improves to three and zero in Pride Fighting Championships but yasuho namakwa proving to everyone that he has the fighting Spirit the Bido Spirit but he ends up taking a beating and at 6 minutes and 2 seconds of the opening round the winner via TKO Macio Shogun Hua now this is so such an important fight for Quenton he needs to win this fight I mean if he doesn’t win this fight it’s going to be very difficult for equally important for Mauricio Shogun as he has revenge on his mind he felt that his brother was robbed the last time at Pride 29 fist of fire and we are almost getting ready here final instructions the referee calls for the bell and Phil and boss this should be a war wow he came out hard he came out through a hard one too a hard one too and he hit him see Rampage got to get off first on the feet I like Rampage a lot better when he’s working his jab and getting off the way he did against Chuck lell when he goes into that counter punching type of defense that he did the last two the last time before before van delay you know he’s waiting too much he’s got to get off first especially against this kid yeah you cannot let him get into his own game because if you do that Macio will be all over you and once you go to the ground you get the kicks the legs through everywhere and his confidence will grow you know he’ll gain confidence you got to take him out of the fight right away show him he doesn’t belong in the ring with you Shogun is proven to be a pride Prodigy thus far all four of his fights ending in knockout and here he is his toughest test to date against Pride veteran Quenton Rampage Jackson and there’s the jab that’s what he’s got to use he’s got to get that jab not worry about the low blow he’s got to cup on and get to that jab misses with the wild right good check he should double that jab now he don’t wait tie clinch and the patented knees from the shoot box veteran that one was close to the chin so was that one Quon should get out he should get out he should go to the side this is very Danger come on he lost two fights like this yeah you would think he would work on the defense never saw that I think the knees have already rattled Rampage Jackson was along the ropes he’s in trouble he’s definitely hurt something hurt him it might have been a KNE to the chin it might actually land on the chin he’s hurt he’s doing the right thing here getting his head though yep he needs to uh lock his hands oh no is does he have a double under hook no no no one onone he’s in the over [Music] under all right she get his head together get it out of his butt that’s what he should do right now Shogun said he would keep the fight standing uses Muay Thai skills we’ve already seen that he’s undefeated in Muay Thai 10 and0 and really so far taking the fight to Rampage Phil yeah he he’s taking it to him Rampage is let him get a first kind of the way Kevin was in his fight earlier tonight he’s got to get off first right here he’s got to use that use that overhook to dig his dig his right arm underhook him he’s got to pull him forward to straighten him out and facing him now he’s digging the underhook and Mauricio is doing a good job here with the knees to the thighs of Quinton ja and let me tell you you do not want to have too many of those knees because you can’t walk anymore once you can’t walk it’s going to be a problem in fighting yeah you definitely don’t want to be a mobile with this guy on top of Rampage is the wrestling veteran here Phil what does he have to do now to turn the tables with Shogun having him hemmed along the ropes he’s got to dig his right on hook deeper and use it Jack it up he’s definitely got to jack up that right on hook you see uh Shogun with with his head on on on the on the left side he’s got to jack it up get get his head back towards the middle Rampage got to put his head on that side and get his actually get his forehead in his ear if he had his forehead in his ear he’d have control that tile okay now quinon looks a little bit like you said he’s waiting oh no he’s tired or or hurt or something he doesn’t look right he doesn’t look himself he’s looking to the referee and there’s a Tak down by Shogun and he’ll try to pass the guard right away right now caught in the open half guard and Phil that seems to be the theme tonight what what is your take on what’s transpired in this the deepest of talent pool in MMA history but so far not really a going according to plan I I’ll tell you what it is all these guys are in the same situation I was in my last fight you they’re trying not to lose rather than win this so much at stake they trying so hard to to not lose big knee by Shogun and Shogun is just going for it that’s the difference right here man I think Rampage might be hurt to the body or something yeah he’s hurt to the body he’s hurt to the body Shogun recognizing and goes for the kill with a with with a big left hook to the ler you know you mentioned it Phil that Shogun has a lot going going for him he saw Silva his teammate beat Jackson twice he of course is trying to avenge his brother’s loss in Jackson’s last fight and so far he is making him pay yeah all that is out the window man he he’s fighting for himself right now I’ll tell you that much and and and and he smells blood and he’s going for it that’s the bottom line he’s going for it he’s got nothing to lose he’s a huge dog in this fight and he’s letting his hands go and he’s going for the fight and boss you saw the look on quinton’s Face the last knee the wincing and now he’s shouting out something to his Corner he’s in pain yeah his rib is hurt man I saw it he’s got to just go for it man he’s got to throw he’s got to let his hands go not good not good man they they they say man there’s a thing that says when you get knocked out once it’s easy to get knocked out each time Master Shogun absolutely decimating Quinton Rampage Jackson in this the first round the youngest competitor is really taking it to the pride veteran you know you see Quinton he’s he’s got a heart of a lion will not go down but this is not good this is not good yeah this is the end of the fight oh Mauricio Shogun has just electrified the crowd and perhaps shocked many MMA fans shocked meun for real shuns for real and he has arrived man there’s no Americans in the tournament I can’t I can’t believe it you know we shut the door on that right there you know it’s he’s definitely hurt he definitely is a hurt hurt rib who knows if he had it earlier coming in the fight or reinjured it you know had it in training and maybe he got better or maybe he was hurt the whole time but uh 4 minutes and 47 seconds filled by referee stoppage technical knockout Mauricio Shogun you guys has got to be considered a big threat now in this tournament even though the one they’re all chasing is his teammate and really his blood brother let’s face it vadl Silva yeah he’s a threat he’s a threat I I look at he’s crazy he’s crazy he’s off the hook he’s just letting it go he just went went for it that was the difference between him and everybody else tonight he had nothing to lose he had nothing to lose and he just went for it he let his hands go he opened up basically opened up is the word that we’re looking for and and four to fight four to fight four to win four for The Knockout fifth time we’ve seen him boss he really followed the shoot boox game plan to a t meanwhile Rampage unable to get off the Launchpad yeah you know what I I cannot believe this because if you lose a couple of times in the same matter you you got to find a defense for this like those knees if that’s your weak point you got to train you got to train for that and [Music] [Applause] [Music] reverse come out of their pens and here we [Applause] go wasting little time in engaging look at noera coming yes he want to close the distance and you see he’s very close to him but no take down take down the open half guard of noera noera of course very busy an active guard on the bottom the armar looks almost oh no now it’s a taked down defense there whoa look at that nice Escape nice right hand and Shogun mentioned that he wanted to utilize more of his Muay Thai techniques and that was a devastating right as well Y and it has begun the kicks are involved nice inside leg kick delivered by Shogun again noera very aware of shogun’s deadly knee strikes but he thinks he’s more than prepared to deal with them you mentioned it B nice take down y you mentioned that they brought in Anderson Silva the nogara and Brazilian top team to work with noera but right now it is Shogun in the closed guard very nice dropping elbow there to the midsection that is good especially later into the fight when the opponent gets tired and then surprise him with it at the moment when he’s breathing in that will do the trick gun wants to create that distance and doing a good job of really just posturing and dropping that elbow noera now striking from the bottom trying to neutralize the wrists of shog your thoughts of the early going and you’ll hear the referee there boss and the fans at home yelling for action Y you know what it’s difficult to say right now Mauricio had two takedowns I would say Mauricio none of them is actually stalling they’re both fighting oh here we go for a submission attempt Mauricio just stand up there’s a nice block of the jumping stop kick by Shogun there’s a nice kick to the calf [Applause] area Matrix style well done and again and that of course will always bring a reaction out of the crowd yeah they don’t love that stuff and I’m one of them creativity always entertaining when you see members of Brazilian top team and shooter box in action and of course Lots things at stake here not only a spot in the final four at final Conflict and they’re going to be brought back up to their feet here boss but dragging rights for Brazil and again just a an awesome there watch Shogun but he gets right back up to his feet can he capitalize on the mistake that Shogun made whoa now we know that the shoot box guys they’re always recoup unbelievable and now he drops him back there with the left D but he looks like he is still staggering on his feet no comes back with a knee but Shogun goes for the Tak down and I think that was a desperate move on his part boss to try to give himself a resit and a break that he definitely needs very smart now that is using the head that is using the head take him down and take an extra little rest there an extra little break he’s going for a reverse F four Kamura from the bottom here’s noera trying to get the and look at this nice maneuvering looking maybe for the armar reverse armar from the Bott yep yep good Escape here for Lucio trying to put some knees to the head as well and some great maneuvering and the fast respond in kind we’ve got one heck of a fight here in the first quarterfinal match up and you could see the swelling and the discoloring under the left eye of Shogun where he was rocked early on by noera you know what hirio told us before he wasn’t afraid of his strikes because he trained very hard on his striking and uh wow it shows and of course he works diligently with his brother who has worked in the past with the Cuban national boxing team and the Cubans of course have dominated the Olympics in the past in boxing so they definitely have the boxing skills as well and now they remain in the stand up box and it’s Shogun now that’s Rock noera yep he connected there with that left uppercut a short uppercut no G and let me see no Shogun has the take down ended up in his guard are you surprised boss right now at this stage that it’s Shogun that’s been able to get the takedowns on noer and yet NOA has been able to withstand the stand up and maybe actually they’re kind of even in the stand up but it’s noira with the take Downs you know what in the first fin already saw the same thing it’s exactly the other way around than that I said I thought maricio will be better on his feet and the other way around but this is the beauty of mixed martial arts boss and why it is the fastest rising sport in the world anything can and usually does happen and between Antonio jerio noera and Mauricio Shogun you could ask for more in the first round another alow and it’s been interesting that he continues to resort to that tactic trying to drive the air out of the lungs of noer ojerio noera oh that was a good right hand that’s the second time he’s done a third one ojerio was holding his hand now but looking on with vested interest is Vander a SOA shogun’s teammate but boy oh boy you can see the effects of this first round war on the face of Shogun oh he’s Ted Again by the yep who’s going to get the take down now now jerio needs to be on top if he’s going to get the take down yes now he can capitalize on that punch that he just gave to Shogun and it’s interesting that usually in the clinch which is a trademark of the shoot box Camp they usually get the better hand and better Advantage but it was noera taking down Shogun which I think boss is the byproduct of that shot he took com some knees to the Head yep I was just I wanted to say and the anacona almost it looks like beautiful sweep by Shogun and listen to these fans at the saitama super Arena what an opening what a fight first fight unbelievable this fight is woo and a nice up kick delivered by noera you can see he’s probably setting up either a stop kick or that kick to the Head oh they sto the time something’s wrong with his glove I believe I saw Mauricio looking at his glove so probably one finger is out or something it was interesting being in a judges meeting that they are going to be uh and it was with the thumb here shun tried to go to the body and it looks like Shogun really missing with the combinations now is he is is are you seeing any desperation on the part of Shogun even though it’s early in the in the fight in the first round yes what I do but it looks to me and it look just saying it looks he’s too flat on his feet he doesn’t move look you see no he’s Yep this is not good he he doesn’t flow like he normally does is it a case boss where look at the KN there’s a kinch yes he’s taking a page out of shogun’s book and like you say it’s a reversal of Fortunes really yeah and I wonder is it is it youthful exuberance on the part nice take down there by Shogun on the part of uh Hua boss at at the age of 23 there’s there’s so much hype surrounding him as the next Vander Silva and of course with so much at stake is it a case where maybe after the first round that he just has to settle things down is that what who Jamar fadrigo is going to try to do with his Corner yeah I I you know what those shoot bugs guys but it’s also with the the Brazilian top team those guys they recoup every fast they got good Corners they tell them exactly what to do so let’s just see if he can make it past this fight but it also already looks like shogun’s going for that grand slam where it looks like kerio is more calm cool and collected showcasing his experience and it looks like shogun’s going for that real dramatic finish instead of being more methodical pacing himself yeah jerio is probably pacing himself here because Shogun is wasting a lot of energy now he has a lot of as I said with the entrance it seems almost endless but you know a lot of pressure will do a lot great right hand again of course the what the judges look for in Pride as they look like he setting them up there perhaps for a triangle or an armar but again you you know when you’re fighting a guy from Sho box and with all the the head now we’re starting we’re into the final 60 seconds of what has been a very exciting opening round whoa and another knee and that’ll add up in terms of damage it’s going back and forward and of course what the judges look for here and pride when judging the entire fight effort to finish the fight by knockout submission damage to your opponent striking combinations and Ground Control take down in defense and of course aggressiveness and there you see vanderly Silva applauding the efforts of his young teammate Mauricio Shogun he’s inside control here boss but not really doing much no he has to start uh uh throwing knees through the body through the legs through the head he has to work otherwise the referee will come in and break them up we remember at Bushido 2 where we saw Shogun go 9 Minutes against akaho gono at full power boss we’re now into the 10th minute of this fight and I don’t want to say he’s tiring well he is tiring but what is this conditioning what what what do you attribute this to is it the pressure the the the stress of being such a high fight nice kick there at the end of the match [Applause] [Music] see if Shogun tries to establish his territory now he goes in body lock but it’s ojerio oh nice balance there by Shogun to quickly go into half guard yep he shifted his way to the left and then yep prevented him from rolling over you see with his left foot not anymore he was trying already to uh pull his right leg out now because he wants to go to side control I’m sure that he wants to continue those knees that he was doing in the first round yep and I can’t uh understand Brazilian but they say pass that means pass half guard he has to do more to prove the position here and he’s back on his feet and will he be up now he’s going back to that diving right hand is here with a right from the bottom let’s see if he’s going to let him stand up again and he’s breathing heavy I mean he it looks like he gained some weight here Mauricio did you see he’s got bigger shoulders he has bigger shoulders than the last oh there he came in with good one nice uppercut you know in the past they say that the one weakness the Shogun has shown is that he can be wild at times and show little regard for what the opponent brings to the fight now we’ve seen as he’s tagged with that straight leg yep and he’s been a little wild in this B trying to go for the tie clinch and who’s going to throw the knee now and again Shogun is going for the Tak down and that of course does add up on the judge’s scorecard but what does he do with the taked down is what really matters there we go again arm bar yeah but it’s not going to work persperation sweat all over the body is going to become more and more difficult as this battle [Music] unfolds you know that jerio is confident there and he blocks the kick again that’s twice now and he’s maybe saying that being telegraphed that referee doing a good job here now bringing it back to its feet hey boss who do you think at this stage does a stand up benefit shun or I think joio believe it or not and to tell you the truth it looks like Mauricio now gets a little bit in better shape he’s getting his second win because I’ve never saw him like this I never saw him breathing with his mouth open he’s always like going and going but now we see they’re just swinging wildly and again the more you swing like that and do not connect You’re Just expending Energy and it’s not paying any dividends and again he just twists him to the canvas where we have really not seen Shogun be able to do much we’ve seen noera try for the Kamura try for a reverse armar but Shogun hasn’t really done much to try to improve his position or go for a knockout or submission on the ground B no not yet although he pass going for Thea y as you see it’s the third attempt no but you’re right because the Tak down the submission defense by gun is awesome I mean this is an incredible MMA battle and we talked about this perhaps being an MMA Masterpiece and fans at home and here at the saitama super Arena this is only the first quarterfinal matchup and what a hard act to follow between Shogun and motoro triangle attempt here but you see right away Mauricio is sticking his head up so it’s going to be very difficult for jerio to close his legs to put his foot behind the knee a experience veteran joio is seeing that it isn’t going to pay dividends loses it right away I’m not going to expend any more energy that I need to yep and now we’re in that same situation but oio think hey tried to get his back there yeah very good that He adjusted himself and went back there to the Mount or half guard actually because jerio almost escaped that position so very good thinking here about Macio both Fighters are doing really good in this fight and talking toio as Shogun jumps back into the open guard joer thought that who was able to concentrate more during this fight will prevail and he’s one of those people who totally espouses the theory that you know fighting really is more a mental game than anything else well and I share that with him tot in the head everything is right up there okay five more seconds whoa [Music] [Applause] all right let’s see what [Music] happens now that was the first KNE there coming from Shogun and again you see his balance the way he shifts his weight joio pulled guard there Y no there’s nothing he’s going to pull it out oh kick again we’ve seen this position before referee calls for action and again you’ll hear the referees throut tonight there’s another attempt but uh against Shogun unless you’re pretty certain you’re going to come up empty majority of the time and there’s that elbow again he should uh use more of those elbows especially with the forearm they have more effect they will really drive the wind out of your lungs again an attempt but I would stop it I would really see if I could go back on my feet because ojerio was doing actually really good on his feet okay is this the case now we got a time out by the referee do you think now and again just asking uh your opinion B is Shogun what we’ve seen thus far in the third round is he fighting to go the distance and just hope for the best with the judges it doesn’t look like on the ground he is very aggressive and I know fatigue is playing a factor but again this is for a chance at the final four at final Conflict and now he’s getting rocked Again by no we’ve seen this actually with vanderly Silva’s teammate against oid on the first round the fight progressed he was fighting for going to the judges but nogara is hitting him and hitting him and noa’s bleeding now Butera’s getting the better of these exchang sh just like that turning the tables oh my goodness just when you think one is going to lose that person takes over unbelievable turn of events here and nogara was caught by Shogun summoning up that spirit and there you see the replay boss wow beautiful left my goodness Shogun should step stand up right away if they say fight the guard is open just stand up it’s probably what his corner is going to say yes let him get up that would be a great strategy now of course he’ll try to exploit that cut as well now you can see noera he just wants to try to bring him in tight boss doesn’t want that distance nice Left Hand by [Applause] Shogun tried to go for that elbow again but right away hogera pushes him away another right dropping hand but didn’t connect he really needs to pass he really needs to go to the side and again there we have the ring kamur maybe an armar by noera but nothing doing in Shogun now and the referee will bring noera back to his feet now let’s see what happens they each have scored damage points in the stand up we got two minutes left the last round and there no Shogun connects again and the taked down two minutes remaining and you’ll see the action pick up or you should he should start working real hard just to make sure that he got in the back because this one is going to be very difficult for the judges very close fight between Shogun and motoro they’re undefeated records on the line up kick by noero 1 minute 15 seconds you see the swelling on the left eye of Shogun oh nice punch there from noera has some fists remaining isn’t in his Arsenal and noera comes back tie clinch and a knee by noera there’s a left the last 60 seconds and you can expect them now to begin unloading boss there’s you see jerio is pressing the fight now he’s also the one who throws more knees also a thing that we didn’t expect he’s probably going to go for another Tak down now no which is going to be very difficult oh yes he does have an underhook but no this time he didn’t get it and now jerio side control yep will he get his back here less than a minute remaining there’s a kick by noera and now it’s Shogun time is the biggest enemy now it has been a Titanic struggle between Shogun and motoro they have given it every ounce of their talent and fighting spirit and we are going to the scorecards but the fans applaud what has been a very memorable contest here in Pride Fighting Championships let’s revisit the action take a look here and describe what you see Mr ru I saw a big left hand from ojerio connecting but you know what Mauricio had all the takedowns and that punch was also a punch that put jerio on the mat they each scored knockdowns it’s over and over let us await with painted breath the official decision of the first quarterfinal bout here at the 2005 middleweight tournament Mauricio Shogun records the unanimous decision here we go final is on the way we are indeed going to Crown a new Pride middleweight Tournament champion will it be Ricardo Arona who is indeed on the cusp of enjoying his biggest night ever for that matter also B Macio Shogun and what an artistic spinning kick that was beautiful here now see what look at this hey um he’s got it does he have no slips out I think no it’s still there right off the bat oh no he’s out whoa would have that be something looking for the knee right away and a stop kick uh-oh The Grudge this Mauricio Shogun 23 years of age undefeated at 7 and0 you talk about a supernova there’s no stopping in him look at this this is his coming out party I mean he is definitely putting himself on a map of start him there is first knee and he’s manhandling Arona thus far what a start he’s scrambling up here Arona is good and stopping him but nope he’s getting up what a be of run number one man I mean there’s almost a danger that Arona had already done what he came to do in defeating bleake Silva but really Arona there’s one more match here the championship final and he needs to regroup and try to deliver a KN there but Mauricio Shogun you couldn’t asked for a better start from the shoot box youngster beautiful he knows he has the stamina H is working for him too family is watching vandelay is screaming you know he’s already been involved in what has to be a nom oh nice drip take down looking to pass the guard immediately as well but now is in the open a half guard there he had an entertaining battle with Alistair over before TKO owing the Dutch Demolition Man and so far look at that boss trying to push on the leg and trying to pull out the leg to pass the guard beautiful work here nice side Mar control nice elbows there to the rib cage we are seeing an onslaught courtesy a Brazilian or shootter Mauricio Shogun on Brazilian top teams Ricardo Arona and I don’t know if Ricardo Arona is totally aware of what’s hting north south position no you cannot let maricio go to the north south position look at this he just gets up right away we’re seen a oneman clinic here [Applause] Boss look at this it’s over it’s over unbelievable I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more dominating performance in my life B routine oh unbelievable look at this the family is in there ction at the taama super Arena and I think really next to Macio Shogun the happiest man in the ring and there he is it’s Vander Silva oh my God 2 minutes 53 seconds of the opening round we’ve got a new Pride middleweight Tournament champion his name is Mauricio sh G and yes my friends he is indeed an MMA Superstar seeing the ultimate highs and the most devastating lows in all all in one night you talk about Ricardo Aron’s evening let’s take a look at this action boss knees to the body he’s going everywhere beautiful TI Ling moves him to the side Hammer fist here and that’s it it’s over right on the button there whoa look at the celebration erupting immediately but again just I mean from the outset it was an unbelievable display and for Ricardo Arona really I don’t think he fully understood what hit him from the very beginning Mauricio Shogun came to this ring to seriously send a message to Arona that Not only was he going to win the tournament but he was going to avenge what happened to the team leader for sh box vanderlay Silva whoa I’m I’m I’m blown away I’m sitting I’m speechless it’s just unreal the way he came out he came to do business look at that celebration unbelievable vandelay look at him wow oh goosebumps you better believe it my friend look at that picture in the orange trunks the color of his country Alistair over taking on Shogun in the black watch for those overhand punches from Shogun not to mention a dynamic kicking game I think he may even have a background either Shin or Taekwondo from Brazil Sometimes some of his punching and striking is is almost gymnastic like the way you watch him Spin and get into a lot of his positions who was very explosive but on the other end very strict very tight overing also is very long and very ethic as well just using the exact same thing a different just a different way of getting to it more in the pocket more straightforward and this is a position where as you mentioned you would think they’d have over at an advantage but he can use those knees and tight and he will use them liberally yeah the clinch is going to be a great position for overing as long as he doesn’t allow to close that distance and take him down with one of his Dynamic throws or trips nice catch on the kick from overing and smart not to follow him down you do not want to be on the ground with this guy over him says I’ve got no interest in the ground game tonight he’s going to be forced down there I would imagine sooner or later but he can keep it on the feet the longer the better nice inside low kick now into the clinch over him looking to Lance of knees you see how he gets his hand and his palms facing against the KU delt there earlier he wants to create that space and by using his hands flat against there he’s going to push off and get out of that clinch a great job push his head down and Away straighten on the way up oine getting busy with those gloves that’s what he needs to do but his bread and butter are those knees they both Miss Miss on those paym makers and a good left by oine great head movement by overing they’ll ending up in the clinch here following with a punch huah as you can see just trying to get anything going he doesn’t care where they end up just as long as they land in a position that he can rally into a better spot from he’s got to hang on to that arm of over or overing just going to stand up working the double wrist lock there Shogun but overing a very strong fighter indeed he’s probably seen his position before but he’s got to be careful still he’s not out of danger yet H also looking to either reverse him or as he bring that leg up over isolate the arm if you notice look you can see how strong the O is cuz right now in this position it’s basically strength that’s holding that arm in right now who is in a very good position to pull that thing out and come in as it slips out he’s in a very good position to finish that arm up but you know alar is so strong it can keep everything in on the inside and look at him spread too a great wrestler pose right there he is and and you know the thing about Alistair from that last position the farther your hands are away from your body the weaker they’re going to be and Shogun let his arms get too far from his body got exactly what he wanted out of it nice hooks nice straight right by Shogun not not Landing but still driving forward just trying to get that single putting over on his butt and apparently exactly where he want him to this is what I love about MMA you’ve got these two Divergent Styles clashing here this this is where H wanted to put this fight because he knew that or was going to beat him on the length oh great overhand white coming down to the canvas H gots his fight now where he wants it on the canvas with over on his back but as you mentioned Alistair very strong trying to craw those punches picking his shots Landing watch for the up kick again from Alistair I’m sure who is going to Dive Right In with another big punch it’s got to be over it my jump on the head what an incredible overhand R he jumped right into it picked his hands apart and dropped right into it right on the button with every ounce of muscle that haa had he wound up and delivered an overhand right that cleared everything that over him had in his mind he went totally blank the fight is over that punch was not fast it was sudden what an incredible knock out at 337 to the first round H is incredible he’s so athletic he’s so strong it’s amazing to see what he actually can pull off from on such a taller opponent he had a dive almost jump into that to hit him in an overhead right you know watch him here you think most people this would be a wild punch with hauli it was laser accurate hitting him right on the chin and finishing up with a flurry to end this match so much more devastating than a punch standing up you’ve got all that power you’ve got gravity you’ve got the mat behind your head that allows no leverage whatsoever and just just a finishing blow unlike we’ve seen tonight what a complete combination bam R he lands right into a guard pass so even if he didn’t knock go REM out he was in better position just a well well executed on shogun’s part Shogun with the big victory and you see close up exactly what over him felt now you can see the position here you saw how his hands were out away from his face when you have a guy on top of you that’s such so explosive so strong you have to keep your hands just like you are on your feet have your hands by your shoulders you’re going get picked apart like you just did exactly you got to keep your hands up at all times you see that punch coming and overing didn’t move his head at all but head movement is not just for the standing game you need head movement off your back too absolutely it’s very important at all times to move your head move keep your hands close to your face cuz that really is one of the most devastating Knockouts you can have and it’s on the ground as opposed to being on your feet you ready let’s fight here we go oh big leg kick immediately by Shogun and Coleman gets a hold of him using that octagon he’s got him to the ground he ate a big leg kick but he has got him where he wants him big PES shogun’s trying to roll Phil Baron right there saying he’s hurt he Mayan has vicious punching power if he can get Shogun down and get on top of him he can do some serious damage he’s done it over and over again mixed martial arts career Coleman 15 wins and he’s a very decorated wrestler very good on the ground in top position he’s got to look out though for triangles arm bars knee bars Shogun has a very good Jiu-Jitsu game he’s rolling for a knee right now Mark’s got to get his leg out of there he’s got to get his leg out of there Coleman a national championship in Ohio state is a heavyweight in 88 he turned he’s good he’s up shogun’s got a hold of him is Guillo shogun’s on his feet Shogun Coleman’s got to keep those hands up colan not C the stand up exchange Joe no he’s not but as long as he can get Shogun to the [Applause] ground such a powerful athlete is Coleman the 1992 Olympian triangle [Applause] attempt Mark’s got a good count for his legs here Shogun Relentless in his attack as well oh Mark Coleman on his back when was the last time we saw that not very often in a long time ago over a decade ago he fought in the UFC immediately Shogun passes his guard instantly the winner of the UFC 10 and 11 heavyweight tournaments shogun’s trying to get that arm free Mark’s doing a good job of holding on to it now it’s free shogun’s going to try to try to pin down one of Mark’s arms with his knee Shogun a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt Coleman here’s a stat for you has never won a fight in which his opponent has attempted submissions since 2004 Coleman not as successful with his takedowns but so far tonight he’s been pretty good you hear Coleman’s Corner screaming out for him to get under Hooks and you wonder too Joe as this fight gets deeper that cut to 205 I know Mark Coleman’s a wrestle this the first time he’s been competing at 205 in his life will that have an effect on his cardio yeah and as you get older it’s more and more difficult to dehydrate your body and recover Co Landing a couple of punches from the bottom here he wants a scramble bman that makes me think of Pete Williams when I see that but an uppercut colan’s got to be careful in this position he’s not checking kicks either Coleman with the left he’s eating these kicks though Mike Shogun knows he’s got the Coleman looks tired Joe yeah he looks exhausted he ate a knee there a knee to the chin Coleman going to look for another taked down Coleman try to scramble to his feet but shogun’s going to take his back here he’s got to be [Applause] careful Coleman’s on top 60 seconds remains in round one Shogun scrambling to his feet how much gas does the hammer have though here for round one he looks exhausted Mike this this is where the hands fall this is where he got knocked out by Pete Williams this kind of exhaustion Joe right but that was later on the fight this is there it is that’s it he’s hurt same situation though he was gassed he couldn’t keep the hands up and he got caught 30 seconds remains in round one 30 [Applause] seconds Coleman wanting to prove tonight the first went over Shogun and 06 was not a fluke Coleman still hanging in there he’s got a hold of Shogun he’s unable to take him down here though he’s in trouble Coleman striking now Coleman’s got to got to keep the hands up he’s getting jabbed to death and a knee nice knee by [Applause] another you know the game plan should be very simple get a hold of him drag him to the ground he’s got to do it quick cuzz he was getting eaten up in the Striking game Coleman looking for the big Power [Applause] though Coleman just avoided the knee he’s still exhausted Joe he’s eating leg kicks too that one to the body shogun’s very relaxed here he looks so confident Coleman trying answer land landed a real good jab there when will he go for the taked down and remember as you know Joe you try to shoot you don’t have as much energy left yeah he’s got two hands classed together though which is always a bad sign nice taked down for Coleman he’s got it this is his opportunity while he’s in this spot he’s got to punch his face he’s got to wear him out he’s got to do damage when he’s got this good position he’s got to do damage he’s got to take advantage but he’s using it to try to take catch his breath and that’s the problem again the hands are low tucks under Coleman in his last five fights Landing only 27% of his takedown attemps That’s The Power of Mark Coleman right there but tonight he’s had great success 71% in his career prior to that he’s got to be careful that here Shogun using the tie clins to land a leg kick and an [Applause] elbow solid jab by Coleman the Hammer with the uppercut but it like God the way his hands are down it almost seems like you’re just waiting for something disastrous to happen I have the same exact feeling I mean look at him here it’s you know it’s earlier in the fight like you said but it makes me think of the Pete Williams kick cuz that’s how Coleman was he was out of it the hands were low and it’s going to happen again oh man this is this is hard to watch his hands are so low I mean you want to think he’s playing posum but it just doesn’t seem like it again the cut Joe to 205 cuz you know he worked hard yeah but the cut to 205 for the first time in his life yeah we saw him a few months ago and he was telling me he was 230 well he said the minute the minute he took the fight at 205 he started gaining weight he said I don’t know why it’s happening but I started gaining weight well all that hard training 12E veteran of mixed martial arts very proud father of McKenzie and Morgan watching back in Columbus a true legend of the [Applause] Octagon trying to hold on to some of that Legend status Mark’s able to land the left hand you know which is kind of surprising that shogun’s been just eating that jab he’s got a good tie clinch here though and he’s landed a couple good knees to Mark and he’s down Mark has got to take advantage of this I just don’t know how much gas he’s got Shogun kind of pulled guard there didn’t he Joe it it’s hard to tell if he fell if he pulled guard pushes Mark right off the Bel oh big hammer from the hammer looks at the clock 9 seconds left in the round Coleman with the left and again shogo looks exhausted himself and Coleman’s got him down Coleman starting to get the take Downs more frequently here Plata attempt by Shogun he’s got the foot across the face he’s going to turn he’s got a shoulder lock here Coleman’s in trouble and a lot of time Joe over a minute left in the round Shogun he’s going to reach over and posture up he’s got to hold of Mark’s elbow Mark’s in a bad spot here if shog gun can twist his [Applause] body he’s going to sit up now he’s doing it he’s going to sit up this is an plot to shoulder lock and Mark hen is in big danger here and even if he rolls he’s going to roll and shogun’s going to be on top and side control 35 seconds as Shogun sits up it’s putting tremendous pressure on Mark Coleman’s shoulder Shogun exhausted [Applause] too but this won’t finish the fight Shogun can finish the fight here he’s got to switch his legs so he’s got his right leg under his left leg in position turn his body forward and get the over underhook and put that pressure on that that elbow Joe don’t you would have at least liked to seen him try to do that this is the position right here it’s going to be too late I I don’t know why he didn’t try to finish this here he’s got arm locked up and Mark Colman’s not doing anything still looks exhausted but so does Shogun Joe yeah they somehow exhausted as Coleman looked he was able to get some takedowns he was able to get some favorable positions in the second round yeah Shogun is standing right in front of Mark and Mark just landed that jab again Shogun has no respect for Mark stand up oh good body shot that hurt him right to the ribs good Left Hand by Shogun Coleman has thrown some Upp for Cuts he’s thrown some body shots that have connected a bit I tell you what Mike even if Shogun wins this fight this does not look good for him you know I I mean you got to think there’s a tremendous amount of pressure on him here coming off the knee surgeries coming off the loss but still Mark colan standing right in front of him what Shogun wants Shogun is a striker shoga is not really able to get much done Mark Coleman still here in the third round and he’s got a hold of show gun and he’s got him on his back this is not good could Coleman actually even e out a decision Joe Coleman can knock him out I mean look if Coleman’s on top and he’s punching you in the face you got problems it’s how much energy does Coleman have but he is on top you know the old days Coleman on top was a death sentence those body punches when he fought ego Obion I remember watching those vicious body punches from the guard it’s just you know how much energy does he have left how bad did the cut hurt him the age Factor the inability the you know the fact that he hasn’t been in the Octagon in a long time he hasn’t fought in two years well I’ll tell you one thing John he’s on top now and if you count takedowns he’s had numerous takedowns yeah and this is all base Mark Coleman has an excellent base what he’s got to be careful about here though is Shogun switching to a knee bar Shogun is excellent at that those elbows by Mark Coman you hear the Irish fans getting behind him now he is half Irish Mark Coleman on his mother’s side talked to about that at the press conference and and and Shogun keeps switching his hips and what he’s doing is he’s either looking to sweep or he’s looking to go for a knee bar attempt and it all depend on how he rotates his body with his right arm underneath Mike Colman’s left arm he’s going to try to sweep him but let me tell you something it ain’t easy to sweep a beast like Coleman That Base that that guy has that’s the last things to go now knee bar knee bar attempt this is bad for Coleman he’s going to switch it to a heel hook Coleman’s got to free that left leg and quickly the fact that Mauricio’s got his legs clasped that he’s got good that leg this is a real bad spot Mark all defense Macio said he was going to go after the leg of Mark Coleman Coleman’s got to sit on him he’s got to scoot scoot his hips forward push his body back he’s got to kick away he’s got to do something to get his leg free he is showing great patience Joe right and he can also punch hu in the face here because hua’s got two hands connected to that one leg now to’s out and he’s still on top he’s got to hold on to this position he’s got to drag H back down to the ground here he goes stay on top stay on top 44 years old being punches here he’s got to land mark the hammer Coleman controlling Shogun here in the third and final round again this win loser draw this is not a good performance for Shogun by any stretch of the imagination against a 44y old man who’s clearly exhausted with very limited stand of abilities he’s not able to get anything done he rolls for a knee bar again and Mark stays on top of him now Mark’s got his back Joe I don’t I don’t know if shogun’s going to get backed [Applause] up at this point Shogun seems almost as exhausted as Coleman he is as exhausted easily and Mark still keeping him up keeping him down Mar’s got to be careful he doesn’t want over the here he’s got to him up here can’t knee to the head no knees to down opponent one warning one warning yeah but now the problem is they’re not clinched they’re not engaged they’re going to stand these guys up now he says Coleman’s okay Coleman’s got to be standing up now though whereas he was at least they were closed in on each other I mean it was up to Mauricio because he was the one holding on to him you know that wasn’t illegal he hit him to the body that’s not illegal it’s the knees to the head of a downed opponent yeah this is just a gift ready fighters fighters we’s take a look at it again clearly to the body there’s nothing wrong with that that’s a bad ref ball tough to see from his angle though but now you know Shogun is standing up and now Coleman is going to look for another taked down 50 shot Coleman still got big Power you know if he can if he can land Jabs and land his left hook Coleman swings over the top Shogun is exhausted uppercut Mark got to muster up enough energy to get a take down here 30 seconds remains in the fight Coleman rocked Coleman’s in trouble he’s down it’s all over Mauricio Shon Hua the beat Mark the hammer Coleman and here’s Shogun teeing off he landed that one to the to the temple landed a jab there right hand to the chin his hands are down uppercut there on the button and that one hurt him left H behind it Mark Coleman doing nothing to defend himself the referee was forced to stop that fight Mike here you see it again Shogun just teeing off the uppercut here nasty Coleman unable to do anything left took behind it I mean that was just target practice for Shogun an exhausted Shogun the Iceman in his trademark blue trunks Shogun in the white trunks Liddell has been working on his footwork and his defense keeping the hands up with Howard Davis oh nice leg kick right away that’s something that we saw in the Keith Jardine fight over and over again Keith landed those vicious leg kicks to the left leg the lead leg of Chuck Liddell and really stifled his movement because of those Chuck does not like to check leg kicks and that was a problem in the Jardine fight and then Jardine started putting together great combinations and finished with the those leg kicks Joe I mean as Chuck said before he’s gotten caught that fight against Jardine he just got outpointed all night long again he he attacks that lead leg watch The Left Hand of Liddell cuz again he’s been working on keeping that left hand up more with Howard [Applause] Davis got clip of the right and he answer it right of his own ducked under that time Liddell pressing forward to that kick on the shoulder Liddell combination got caught again Shoguns come right over the top on the left side of Chuck Liddell Shogun looks light on his feet Jo he looks in the best condition he’s been in since coming to the Octagon a couple of years ago against Forest Griffin he’s got a small cut on his forehead Mike yep I can see it now on the left side Joe I’ll tell you what the reaction of the crowd yesterday at the weigh-ins proves to the world that Chuck Liddell is still loved by all again though over the top again that’s the one and he gland that that right leg kick again now Chuck ducked under it watch the left hand closely of Liddell I think those leg kicks are already starting to take their toll Shogun as you mentioned Joe’s got a nutritionist and he wants to prove that he can return to the form that he enjoyed from 04 to [Applause] 07 Liddell with the alltime UFC record 16 wins in the octagon look at this takes chuck to the ground chuck right back up drops down for leg lock Shogun has tremendous leg locks Chuck trying to spin out of it and Sha’s using it to try to get his back could control that leg trying to stay on top Chuck’s up but not out yet Chuck’s trying to control those hands get rist control interesting stat for Chuck Liddell Joe and he didn’t get to his back that time but he’s only been on his back an average of 13 seconds whenever somebody was successful with a takedown Chuck’s great at getting back to his feet and recovering up immediately now you got to watch out for the leg kicks and that punch over the the left side that right hand the overhand right of Shogun this is a non-title fight scheduled for three5 minute rounds Chuck landed the right hand and again he gets timed oh Chuck just throws him aside shook him up but he’s running forward uppercut he’s got to be careful he doesn’t run into anything Liddell’s Tak down defense outstanding Shogun again winging that right hand over the top he’s trying to time the left hook or the left jab of Chuck Liddell again he tries it right there and Chuck with the Tak down ah now this is the element that we hadn’t really seen too much of Chuck Liddell until the vanderlay fight that was that the vanderlay fight was the first time he had taken anybody down in a long time all right he’ll take the points and he’ll stand right back up under a minute remains in round one the Dell might be trying to set up an uppercut that right shoulder drop for a second noell is down shun trying to finish and it is all over wow Mauricio Shogun haa has defeated Chuck Liddell and here you see Chuck Liddell gets caught with the left dropped Shogun on top of him Hammer Fist and Chuck just trying to get up but he’s not defending himself Mario yamasaki looking at him and just decided that he had had enough here you see it again the left hook drops him and Shogun all over him hammerfist over and over again Mario yamasaki rescues him from further damage one more time Chucks legs just completely gone there tries to recover and get back to his feet but Shogun Relentless huge victory for Shogun and this may be the last time we ever see Chuck Liddell in the Octagon well Shogun said this is the fight of my life are you ready sir you ready fight here we go white trunks for Shogun black drunks for Macha didn’t take long for that first kick to be thrown and already Mach has checked to kick something he didn’t do much of in the first fight caught him in the thigh with the second one right to what was his bread and butter in the first match up Leota MAA loves to counter Joe maah had trouble Landing his strikes in the first matchup an interesting point that was brought up to me by David loo was that leoto broke his hand in the first fight and that hand has not been tested in combat since and but David milazo felt was that that was going to play a big part in the confidence of Macho Macha had surgery on his left hand one week after that Victory Joe what I thought was interesting was that Macha several times earlier in this round was in an orthodox stance as opposed to his normal Southpaw Dan and that could be one of the reasons for that checked again it also could be part of the strategy to avoid that right leg kick at least not oh take down half guard at least making a moving Target don’t let him just tee off this is the 2 pushing down he could be looking for a leg lock here Mike he is an excellent leg lock specialist he’s looking for a helicopter sweep back up to his feet Shogun trying to throw some knees to [Applause] Macha and again working those legs on the release Shogun throws the right hand Shogun pushing forward to gun Relentless he nailed him he nailed him with that one Mike and he wobbled him too he nailed him and he hit with a leg kick down again Joey started to say this is the 29th time we have had a rematch in the 28 previous second matches the original winner won 13 times the loser won 13 times and the other two went to a draw wow that proves nothing exactly exactly it proves man that’s why they fight again yeah well that’s one of the beautiful things about MMA this is so unpredictable beautiful knee to the body by leoto the dragon 8-0 in the UFC 16 and0 overall Anderson Silva vtor bfor Millo Bo Deonte minaro noera the other Brazilians to own a by again on the break Shogun working the legs but leoto is landing some real good shots leoto switching that stance again Joe yeah exactly we we don’t know how that left hand is and that could nice knee to the body oh he got left maricio the new UFC white heavyweight champion no doubt about it this time ladies and gentlemen Shogun wins the title wow morao Shogun Hua that man had a lot of pent up frustration based on the first fight and he just took it out on leoto Macha wow as soon as he got the full Mount Leota was in deep deep trouble and there he’s out let’s take a look at it again he lands a beautiful knee to the body Shogun Clips him with that one on the temple lands a few more gets the full Mount and the lights go out in Georgia he promised not to it up to the judges this time and he delivers by knockout spectacular performance by Mauricio shuna the young Crown Champion is now the champ Macio Shogun haa is the new UFC light heavyweight [Applause] champion Bruce Buffer with the official decision ladies and gentlemen referee Eve leing is called a stop to this contest at 3 minutes 35 seconds of the very first round for the winner by knockout and new UFC light heavyweight champion of the world Maro sh ready ready let’s fight and here we go Henderson in the long white trunks the bad boy trunks for [Applause] Hua that right hand is always ready to go cocked and in position to finish the fight Dan [Applause] Henderson I think one of the he’s this fight for Shogun will be the [Applause] oh Shogun takes Henderson down Henderson Henderson’s got a guillotine he’s got he’s got Incredible strength Joe can he choke him out can he get him from this position he’s got a front choke and he hit him with a knee and a big punch big shots shogun’s in big covering up he’s standing right in front of him Henderson Shogun is a bloody mess already Henderson off to a great start shogun’s bloody but his eyes are clear [Applause] Mike watch for the right hand again oh Big Shots by hendo Shogun desperately trying to get this fight to the ground who would have ever thought that would be the case I is thinking the same [Music] [Applause] thing Henderson 41 years old Anderson’s got double under Hooks and he throws Shogun to the ground and just up wow are we really seeing the best Dan Henderson here in the last few [Applause] years nice [Applause] me sometimes all the stars just align with your training and your nutrition and your life and Henderson coming off the big one with Fedor now looking to take out Shogun for a triumphant return to the octagon and off to a good [Applause] start what I was beginning to say before that first barrage happened was that I think that one of the keys to victory for Shogun will be attacking the legs of Dan Henderson trying to take away some of the explosion out of his thighs and utilizing all the techniques of Muay Thai Dan particularly throws inside leg kicks in ruthless right hands that’s a combination that he favors where a Shogun will throw knees elbows everything there’s the right [Applause] hand there’s the right combination followed with the left just over 90 seconds on the clock here in the first round good start for Henderson uppercut by Shogun Shogun finding his range got a shot in on Henderson and he’s looking for some groundon holding on to a single but he’s getting tagged Henderson’s going to try to get this taked down now Shogun back to his feet and eats a right hand big right hand Henderson handled that barrage of punches very methodically [Applause] Shogun with the uppercut shogun’s looking for that uppercut over and over again Mike he sees something in the stance of Dan Henderson Dan tends to crouch forward he gets real low nice right hand by [Applause] Dan pushing forward is Shogun now now nice knee by Henderson under 30 seconds on the clock here in the first that Greco Roman background of Dan Henderson makes him so good in positions like this where they clinch great upper body [Applause] control shogun’s got to use this opportunity to try to knee those legs [Music] round one in the books fight round two the more Shogun can turn this into a technical striking battle instead of a wild crazy slugfest the better he comes out Dan has an incredible chin and ruthless power but Macio is the more technically sound and diverse Striker and a very vicious kicker gets Henderson with the jab as Dan was on his way in swings ducked under and the knee again they work in the [Applause] clinch 28 career wins for Henderson 20 career wins for Shogun [Applause] [Music] Shogun one of eight Brazilians in UFC history to hold a UFC belt the most recent Junior dos Santos big right hand uppercut huge uppercut and a big left hook as well the body and Shogun counted with a nice left hook there but Henderson definitely with the bigger [Applause] shots Shogun trying to utilize some movement to try to get into that technical matchup that you talked about before Joe he’s also trying to get away from the cage [Applause] Henderson trying to set up the right [Applause] hand the shots that Henderson has landed have really slowed the pace of shogun’s attack yeah his his punches seem to be a little bit a little labored a little slower The New Normal and I think a lot of that can be attributed to what Henderson has been able to land thus far yeah unquestionable but he’s still plowing forward as he always does mean both of these men have been in the Deep waters before yeah and it’s interesting with this pace this is a five round fight yeah Dana White making that change making main events on frequent occasion even a non-title fight a five round fight tonight is one of those Munos and leben was the first [Applause] one and the wrestler was the winner that night a deep breath taken by both men [Applause] and I was just about to say I’m surprised Dan’s not working his legs with some knees and he just hands out the I think both men are conscious of this this being a five round fight just over a minute on the clock here in the [Applause] second and that’s exactly the case is they they know they need to Pace themselves that’s position Gentlemen let’s work because it was a frenetic Pace in round one it’s work genten all right break break Anderson looks up at the clock just over 30 seconds remaining here in the second of a potential five five minute round good right hand from Shogun SW they stand right in front of each other Mike yeah great slip and rip a moment ago by Henderson both men are trying to set up that one punch or one kick knock [Applause] out final seconds of the round let’s [Music] fight Josh Rosenthal said last round and Dan goes no three [Applause] more [Applause] maybe Henderson’s Corner seemed very confident that Shogun was out of gas he looked at at the end of that round he definitely looked tired and that has been a problem with Shogun in the past he was a problem with his debut in the UFC against Forest Griffin it was a problem his fight with Mark Heman he has had stamina [Applause] issues right in front of our broadcast position uppercut by Henderson but he got [Applause] wobblers measuring from that punch took a kick to the body Henderson down and Henderson actually went for the single right back to the feet it’s amazing Joe that this fight never happened before a man so far well worth the [Applause] weight off the shoulder of Henderson that time I think this is the perfect time for this fight I really do it’s in the perfect place that’s for sure oh big right hand trying to finish it right here he’s hurt he’s big shots Henderson looking to finish the fight shogun’s covering up and he’s HT bad watch you put in the face Shogun has his his hands clasped together that will save him a little time and he’s going to try to sweep Dan what a warrior Shogun is he’s going to attack a leg Henderson’s got to be careful he needs to get further in to get the heel hook though he needs to get closer he needs to get his thigh closer to Dan’s hips cuz right now it’s not in the right position Henderson’s out and both men are back up wow unbelievable the shogun’s face is a bloody mess Mike it’s swollen his left eye is swollen and he he is hurt badly he’s just hanging on here right now both of [Applause] them both men exhausted but no question about it Dan Henderson has done the most damage by a long shot but it’s this Warrior spirit it’s this heart it’s this Courage the determination that have made both of these men two of the most success successful fighters in mixed martial arts history the fact that Shogun is still battling here in the third round keep the fing out of the C out the C fing out the [Applause] C keep hand out of the cage big deep breaths from [Applause] Henderson Dan was so close to finish in that fight but a nice job done by Josh Rosenthal to not stop it 1 minute oh vicious elbows by Dan and Shogun has Dan down and now Shogun pouring it on Henderson he’s got his back 45 seconds on the clock here in round three [Applause] maybe Henderson was right when he told Rosenthal three more are going to be [Applause] left 20 seconds on the clock here in the [Applause] third good shot by Shogun final seconds of the third round a huge cut over the left eye of Shogun you can see it Mike but what a warrior both these guys non-title fight but scheduled for five five minute rounds round four looking for the single Shogun with the taked down Shogun Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt after only four years but Dan’s going to get his back now shogun’s got to be [Applause] careful Shogun is trying to get oh look at that Dan got him in a crucifix great position for Henderson looking for the choke he’s got the choke but CH rolled into the choke D mounted up sh’s going to go for a leg lock again he can’t get it and Henderson’s out what a fight unbelievable one of the best of all time between two of the best of all [Applause] time Shogun landed the uppercut take down take down into side control Sha’s trying to hip escape a bit to get his right knee under there he goes he’s got his right knee in place Dan wisely scoots his hips out corrects now Shogun has got half guard he will go under he will go under for the sweep he goes under with his right arm and while he’s doing that Dan is trying to one-arm Guillotine him Shogun has to be careful here Dan has a a wicked grip Shogun is in trouble here yep Henderson his arm is trapped yep Henderson now now he lost it he lost it but Shogun lost the sweep as well because he the underhook on Dan’s left leg now Shogun goes to full guard fing face feet on the [Applause] hips round four of our main event Henderson staying heavy on [Applause] Shogun right hand Dan got look out for the up kick big right hand by Dan oh KNE the body pass the Midway point of the fourth and Sh Goods up and he falls down again watch for the right hand of Dan Henderson right here right now [Applause] [Applause] this is why mixed martial arts is the fastest growing sport in the world uppercut [Applause] Shogun yeah Shogun is looking to counter that right hand keeping his guard up high and sneak that uppercut through Dan’s taking big deep breaths now Mike and Dan’s really shaking that hand out might have done some damage to it Joe well he broke it when he knocked out vanderlay Silva he has hurt it the pass yeah and he’s not quite hold there it’s back in the pocket but he’s not firing it like he was earlier big shot by Shogun Dan’s in trouble and he wants the take down goes into that autopilot mode of got out he in with a shot oh Henderson came right back with the Stutter Step Shogun starting to get the momentum Dan is exhausted Mike look at [Applause] him Shogun with under 45 seconds left in the four Tak down with the take down and Dad just took a huge deep breath 30 seconds him full mou for Shogun Shogun trying to finish it here Henderson looking to survive shun’s got his back it’s got time to work he lost it what a fight 10 seconds left in the fourth lot of fights and Dan right now is just hanging out to it wow here’s the last round let’s fight Fifth and final round [Applause] sh on top inside control but he’s got to get Dan away from the cage Dan can use his feet right now to explode off the cage 41-year-old Dan Henderson nice KN to the body by Shogun against 29-year-old Mauricio Shogun Hua Fifth and Fin final round hendo almost had it finished [Applause] earlier sh outs again full mount on Henderson I think Shogun just spit his mouthpiece out either that or Dan did Henderson was able to reverse earlier Shogun has got to get ahead and arm and Scoot forward get Dan away from that cage grab a grip on his arm and Scoot him [Applause] forward look at Shogun Henderson trying to protect himself trying to get out of this position Shogun trying to maintain the mount he lost it but he’s in half guard now this is just True Heart it’s a wide openen half guard Shogun wants to get his right leg free he can trying to pull it through Joe trying to push down with that left foot and get that right leg free Henderson holding on controlling posture under three minutes left in the play he’s more held in place by exhaustion than anything and now he gets the full Mount again Henderson trying to work his way up hammerfist he’s got his back he’s got him flattened out he’s going to go for an arm triangle here he’s got the right arm trapped Dan’s trying to defend with his left but if Shogun can slide that right arm all the way through he’s got the choke he’s got it right there big hammer fist he might not have enough strength to pull off that choke he might want to just maintain the position and Dan good hip Escape by Dan He got to half guard again nope full Mount one more time just over two now back of the head commercio back of [Applause] the this classic matchup that we’ve waited a lifetime for Big Shot by Shogun has turned into one of the greatest fights in mix martial arts history under two on the clock [Applause] again Shogun trying to get that right leg free and he does full Mount one more time Dan Henderson is absolutely exhausted here comes the elbows 90 seconds Joe man if it goes the distance what a tough job our judges are going to have well this is a big round this has got to be a 108 round for [Applause] Shogun but then again and there’s got to be at least one round that was a 108 round for for Dan [Applause] yep just over a minute remaining in this battle I just don’t know if Shogun has the energy to to actually finish he’s trying though now he’s going after it hammerfist hando trying to get out of this position Dan hip escaped he got to half guard shogun’s going to try to get that leg out again you want to talk about leaving it all in the Octagon Dan Henderson and Mauricio Shogun Hua have entertained Millions [Applause] tonight Mount again under 30 seconds remain he’s smothering Dan here 15 seconds very hard for Dan Breathe Here Mauricio’s smothering him unbelievable fight Mount again they go the distance 25 minutes Shogun and hendo wow what a fight what a [Applause] fight who won that fight I have no idea I don’t even remember any of the rounds besides this one it was just too crazy wow who won this fight then D good job man ladies and gentlemen after five rounds we go to the judges score cards for decision all three judges score this contest 48 47 declar the winner by unanimous decision Dan hendo Anderson here we go little nog Southpaw white trunks Shogun black trunks dangerously destructive Striker all 14 of his fights Joe had been a main or co-main event in his UFC [Applause] career Shogun will have a much more kicking oriented style we look for little nog to try to counter with straight lefts and a stiff [Applause] jab Shogun the only fighter to score backto back knockout wins over UFC Hall of Famers Mark Coleman and we talked about Chuck Liddell earlier good kick lot of respect here early that was an excellent kick to the body by Shogun and being that noera fights in the Southpaw position it opens up that back body kick oh good onew and you’re right Shogun as I mentioned he looks younger fresher than he has in a while we’ll see if it translates into a second win over little KN you said earlier when big nog was in there Joe there Jim is very close to the arena amazing that little nog’s fighting in real for the first time as a pro that’s crazy that is that really is amazing they are going after it and Shogun landed again nice inside leg kick and the difference in their Styles is very clear when you see Shoguns kicks they it was one of his best weapons nogara very rarely throws kicks and I doubt you’re going to see him throw many against Shogun excellent boxer as Joe mentioned decorated Brazilian national boxing champion and excellent on the ground as well submitted Dan Henderson and pride is a real legit black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu like his brother doesn’t get nearly as much credit though black belt under Ricardo deiva who is a black belt under the great Carlson graci just missed with that wide white right hook shun trying to be aggressive here swinging a Miss counter by little knog little knog is having a little bit of a hard time finding his range there’s a rare kick from him the style of Shogun was once called fistic chaos well he was the original or one of the original shoot the Box Berserkers silvas Shogun represented Kira they still do Joe they represent it very well well they had just the most insane style when they were fighting in Brazil they were so in excuse me in Japan they were so intimidating and they won so fights by spectacular knockout Shogun connected with the right hand there and he went high with the kick Shogun does look revitalized Mike he looks excellent here tonight oh my goodness hard kick to the body by Shogun that was nasty Shogun looks like we have turned back the clock he’s also fighting smart he’s not rushing into anything he rushed in when he fought Henderson and he got clocked in this fight he’s fighting patiently he’s waiting for his openings oh he got tagged he got tagged here’s little nog he’s got a lot of time here he’s hurt little nog applying a lot of pressure Shogun covering up he’s hurt and he’s winging punches back he’s in big trouble little nog again connects Shogun trying to survive he’s got to move his head noar is all over him wow here we go again he’s really hurt Mike still noa’s hurt noera with a knee got hit backpedal Shogun still in big trouble it’s hard to tell if noera wobbled before he was tagged I think he might have just tripped there and Shogun trying to turn this into a grappling sh noer looking for a standing Guillotine this legendary battle has round number four 10 seconds on the clock Shogun with a left Shogun seems to have recovered at least a little bit oh knee to the body fistic chaos round two Shogun Henderson won was classic so was number two and so far so good with this rematch of a little nog in Shogun wants the take down Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belts Joe Shogun earned his black belt after only four years Shogun trapped in the guard here Shogun 19 wins by knockout or TKO one by submission 2006 kneebar against Kevin randan he’s looking to land punches here from this position and wants to step over that right knee of nogara he steps over noar’s got half guard here fight six of seven live tonight on the main [Music] [Applause] card Shogun initiated this battle on the ground [Music] as Joe said looking for some ground and pound [Applause] opportunities after little knog rocked him more than once first round they would be booing in Brazil for a ground fight it was just so exciting standing up he want these guys to go back after it Shogun trying to pass here he’s almost got his right leg out and noera hip escapes gets right back to half guard again he’s going to keep rotating with him he might go to the Deep half here and sweep and he does Shogun got to be careful they’re up you saw the total strikes 55 for little nog as we reach the Midway point of this fight scheduled for three five minute rounds shogun’s looking for that kick you can see him lifting that back heel up off the ground before he threw it Joe as you pointed out sh was not rushing things in the first round and then little KN clipped him and then it became chaotic now shun trying to set up those kicks again here in round two he was just fighting for his life after that noer was trying to close the show but he’s obviously got his wits back and he’s had some real good success with that right [Music] kick the pressure by Macio Shogun [Applause] Hua Antonio rerio Muro noera little the twins 39 years old under 90 seconds now Mario yamasaki going to do exactly what this crowd wants put him back in the center of the Octagon head movement by Shogun that pawing jab by little [Applause] nog trying to find his distance find the range one minute hold that leg back very quickly nice punch basically to the chest of Shogun here’s another one of those vicious kicks yeah that body kick is landing but little nog is a lot like his brother just incredibly durable there’s an inside leg kick on the alltime durability list definitely got big nog and Shogun little nog as well there was a left hook by Shogun there that landed always seemed to be in a a great War again with a hard kick to the body that one hurt 15th UFC fight for the former light heavyweight champion Shogun who finished Macha to win that title years ago five minutes remain well you got to think that little nog won that first round that was a nice kick to the body by Shogun you get round two to Shogun right or close could be it’s close he had the top position he landed those hard kicks to the body I I I say I’d give it to him for the top position and the hard kicks yep so we’re probably neck and neck here which is just how it’s supposed to be yeah I mean that he did get the Tak down to the top position but not much happened from [Music] there oh another hard kick it’s those hard kicks that been his best weapon watch out another nice knee to the body looking for another Tak down little nog defends at the time Shogun became the six Brazilian to own a UFC Championship B COA later tonight wants to become the 12th little nog’s twin of course one of the 11 and teammates fabric ver Doom hafeld dos anos out of Kings MMA a break again watch for the kick there it is those are just vicious nog with the uppercut noera getting his hands back in order here both men look good here three and A2 minutes left another inside leg kick for Shogun oh nice straight left Shogun over the top with the right Brazilian Legends going toe to- toe again Shogun looking to initiate another Tak down stuffed the man who takes the next two minutes and 45 seconds may take this [Applause] fight Shogun with the combination on the [Music] counter watch for that straight left again from Little kn there’s that inside leg kick again so far shogun’s only thrown one head kick nice counter again little slip and rip for [Applause] Shogun two minutes remain they both connect again with the body kick that may be the difference in this fight if they go the [Applause] distance a wild flurry back and forth in round one Shogun has a huge knot on his right ankle Sean Shelby just pointed out to me it very well could be a broken ankle or some sort of a hematon or something it’s on the outside of it and it’s probably from he threw a kick with it again and I’m guarantee you it hurts it’s probably from Landing against the elbow of [Applause] noera again looking for that Tak down final minute of this [Applause] fight noar’s got him in the G Watch Out Shogun trying to slip out he’s in trouble Mike he’s in big trouble can he get it can he finish a fight here show trying to lock it down trouble he’s trying to create some space here get his hand underneath his chin everything he’s got trying to choke him out he’s out wow that was close 20 seconds a big statement late in the fight though for the [Applause] judges they’re going to go the distance in the rematch of one of the greatest fights ever a decade ago Shogun little nog ladies and gentlemen after three rounds we go to the judges scorecards for decision
