champions kickboxers kung fu masters

worldclass wrestlers all were no match

jiu-jitsu international ufc 2 is the

greatest champion on the planet and UFC

4 beautiful technique by

it

from there Brazilian jiu-jitsu became

one of the most popular martial arts in

the world and now the UFC is taking BJJ

to a whole new level

welcome to the world of the wild 16 of

the best grapplers in the world have

for a chance to become the first ever

champions in their weight class i'm here

to become a star man and launch a new

era in combat sports this is UFC BJJ

Road to the title

[Music]

that is pretty cool that's sick dude

that is crazy

it's rounded

bro this is sick this is going to be

dope i think the octagon is is a really

cool way to introduce MMA fans into

jiu-jitsu because at least having an

outside barrier is sim similar to MMA

it's like a octagon dang that's sick

this is sick oh this is tight

i love the octagon i feel like no one

can just run away anymore push me on the

wall G

immediately I was like "Wow this is a

whole new vibe that I've never

experienced." And I just can already see

how I could use it to my advantage

what's up gang

come on we're all going to go over here

and get rolling

welcome guys this is the first season of

UFC BJJ Road to the Title obviously you

guys are a part of something special if

you look at what this format has done

for the UFC and for the sport of MMA

this is what it's going to do for

Brazilian jiu-jitsu too

the reason that me and the Fertittas

bought the UFC was because of Brazilian

jiu-jitsu we started taking it became

addicted to it and one of the things

that I always say about people who have

a black belt in jiu-jitsu

you're a special type of person what we

try to do here is set you up for success

so anything you need we're here for you

and that begins with the coaches

obviously two of the best in the world

mikey holds five IBJJF black belt world

titles mikey Masamichi makes history and

he's the first grappler we signed to UFC

BJJ bringing BJJ to the world is so

important to me because I know that if

other people start doing BJJ if other

people get connected with BJJ it will

make them better people in their lives

harrison beat top contenders and

multiple time world champions look at

this harrison the

Harrison Gabriel gets the victory on his

way to becoming the IB JJF Panama

Jiu-Jitsu Champion i'm very happy to be

part of this this is amazing they are

going to fight in the finale for the

bantamweight title we have two weight

classes the lightweights and the

welterweights the winner of each class

will be the UFC BJJ champion in their

division coaches are going to run you

guys through some evaluations right now

and then we're going to pick teams

[Music]

this is pretty exciting and we scouted

the whole world to make sure we brought

in the best guys in the world to crown

the champions what's up guys i'm the

only American to ever win black belt

worlds more than one time mikey

Mosamichi with four gold medals i have

the fastest submission ever in world's

finals at 12 seconds can you believe it

12 seconds i have the most titles out of

any American to ever do jiu-jitsu what I

like to do for evaluation is just I want

to like flow roll with you guys i think

that's the best way we could evaluate if

we're a good match to be on the same

team

give them different loops chris

that was so much fun goals is obviously

number one i want to win it i just

really want to make a name for myself

you know i want to break out so I just

want to show that I can hang with the

best in the world and represent for the

homies back in Jersey you know here to

just ruffle some feathers and and

highlight row anybody they put in front

of me nice i was really impressed with

everyone in jiu-jitsu like no one like

was like not with good jiu-jitsu so it

was like really cool uh and it's just so

exciting you know uh I'm so excited for

team picks i feel like if my team has a

good morale and energy like we could

outperform anyone

[Music]

gabriel is your life featherweight

champion

let's stretch a little bit

take your PL guys i look the everything

the flexible the the energy and the

train this is very important because

you need to put energy on the everything

to win have a good techn

good in the fight you need energy you

need to move you need protect yourself

you need attack you need everything time

guys

all right guys the coaches have

evaluated you and now it's time to pick

teams i'm going to flip the coin

mikey's blue harrison's green whoever

wins the coin toss gets the first pick

now you guys are already ranked so

whichever coach picks you by your

ranking I will call out the other seed

and you will automatically go to the

other team all right here goes the coin

toss

[Music]

harrison has the first pick

johnny come here come to my chimney

johnny is a number five ranked

lightweight carlos you're ranked number

four you're over here brother mikey make

your first pick isaac

isaac is ranked number eight keith

you're number one you're over here isaac

Derelin he's a world champion in the

ghee in jiu-jitsu he hasn't competed in

no since he's like 13 14 years old but

nobody is going to expect the level that

he has josh

you're ranked number two gavan you're

the number seven ranked you're over here

danilla danilla you're the number three

ranked so Mauricio you're over here

brother you're ranked number six

all right now we're getting into the

welterweights harrison who's your first

pick andrew came here miss

andrew you are the number one ranked

welterweight being the number one seed

where everyone's expecting you to win

it's definitely a heavy yolk to carry

but makes me realize that everyone else

is probably going to be a little bit

more scared of me and so that's what

motivates me i know they know I'm the

number one seed so they are going to

feel a little bit more nerves and so I

try to keep a positive outlook on it

aaron you're ranked number eight

mikey who's your first pick in

welterweight davis

all right Davis you are the number three

ranked welterweight austin you're ranked

number six angie come here

andy you're the number two ranked

welterweight

nathan you're ranked number seven

jason

jason you're the number five ranked

welterweight

elijah you're the number four come on

over here all right guys the teams are

set

congratulations on being a part of

season 1 this is your opportunity to

become a world champion one thing that

we know about this tournament style

since Ultimate Fighter first season the

best always rise to the top gentlemen

welcome to the UFC

good luck

now you have to push the pace the whole

time the fights are not going out of

bounds and the the 10 point must system

i really think it's what's going to

change the game the fighter is going for

submissions the whole time this is going

to be exciting because submissions are

exciting

[Music]

oh shoot we got brackets oh man yeah we

do have brackets

wow

that's pretty dope i think it's super

cool that I'm getting to know everyone

outside of the mats my coach my

teammates love you Kavon i love you

teammates

this is nice thank you

everyone is so cool you've been so

respectful so so fun spend all these

times with them you can put this like

You can put this over here

[Music]

that would be amazing bro I'm learning a

lot about Harrison already and I'm

learning that he's just a really chill

guy likes to have fun and really really

really positive you like the hoodies i

like the rules i like the fact that it's

rounds like the rounds are just so

awesome what do you What do you like

about it the break the fact that you

just ride across from the person the

mindset battle like freaking you just

got jump around i got to go back out

there i love the rule set on how UFC is

um designing the rules around the

octagon the three fiveminute rounds i

love them a lot because it keeps the

rounds interesting it keeps them uh from

really like boring down you know what

I'm looking forward to most about these

rounds though no one can be caging

anymore you just have to go you have to

throw it all at the wall because it's

going to be scored per round so the last

two rounds are gonna be who has the most

heart who can just throw it who can just

cartwheel and back flip and jump at a

knee cut like I think I might be a

little too tired to be back flipping

each other who who can go crazy get that

double leg who can land on top to win

the control to win the round can't roll

up a wall so you can't run away

everybody has to go forward at one point

or another 25m minute round five five

minute rounds between like two exciting

grapplers is is probably the most you

could ask for like that is sick dude

that sounds amazing let's do it

here

back or here

i'm Aaron Wilson i'm 35 years old and

I'm from Gilbert Arizona you were going

to arrest him then he just has a really

good double leg obviously but you ended

up him double leging you just be careful

of body locks things like that cuz he

locked their hands

at my house it's me my son Warren he is

six and my fiance Amanda I knew very

early on that Amanda was the person I

wanted to be with the rock she keeps

everything together and my son has

autism he's great and I love him more

than anything in the world but it

impacts our family on a day-to-day basis

He only eats fruit and chips so Amanda

is able to understand him when I can't

come on let's go to school he loves his

mom and and I love her too and she's

holding down the fort while I'm out here

chasing the silly little dream I have i

see how you defend leg box so I'm going

against Andrew Tacket who is uh one of

if not the best guy in the world in my

weight class you're terrible right

nice soon as I saw Mikey as a coach I

wanted to be on his team incredibly

knowledgeable and just has an insane

mind for jiu-jitsu so being able to have

him show me techniques has been really

cool we've been working hard to have a

good strategy for Andrew Tacket

obviously Andrew Tack is the number one

seed if the wrestling starts going bad

putting Andrew in close guard

controlling him working triangles just

slowing down the match to make it the

pace that is in our favor i just want

you to have like that mindset that we

need points like to score like activity

so if you get headlocks and keep

attacking via teams and things on the

judges scorecard we are scoring

submissions so just be careful of

getting in like a wrestling war with him

try to get some submission score i think

headlock is good though cuz he shoots a

lot of double legs um I can see him

surprising Andrew and pulling off an

upset guys remember the scoring they

count submissions more than anything so

I want to constantly see you guys

looking for submissions i believe Aaron

could pull it off he has this fire in

him i've seen since the evaluation

that's why I really wanted him on my

team he had this hunger and fire in him

when he was talking to me that he wanted

to prove to himself and everyone that he

could do this yeah do the roll boot

and then you can get the leg back into

double outside yes in the butter yes

andrew is a good talent i like his vibe

strong guy he have good scramble and

good jiu-jitsu good foot locks good

ankle locks i'm Andrew Tacket i'm 22

years old and I'm a black belt fighting

out of Austin Texas i'm technical in

every position i can play guard i can

play passing i can do takedowns i can

defend against submissions i can escape

really tight submissions i can get out

of bad spots so I'm kind of a good

allaround right now

it's It's a showman i was actually born

in California and I moved to Texas when

I was like 4 years old and I got started

in Brazilian jiu-jitsu when I was pretty

young like 5 six i was homeschooled so

my family was literally my best friends

and since I trained like twice a day

nice i didn't have much hobbies i just

woke up did homeschool work went and

trained at noon came back did homechool

work went and trained at night jiu-jitsu

is just really a part of our family from

the beginning what's up mama

fight Factory is in Austin Texas and

I've been with them for about 6 years

and here's the mat space is where we do

most of our training fight Factory is

all about no ego no drama just zitsu i

get to focus on training without all the

distractions

my family had the hopes moving to Texas

would make me have like that southern

like hospitality upbringing and um yeah

that failed definitely not like that

expect me to always be attacking i have

extreme ADHD even in the match if I'm

not moving for a second I get bored and

I keep moving so expect to be on the

edge of your seats because I will make

something happen from the minute the

bell sounds and to the minute the bell

stops good job guys

what's your son's name warren warren

dude that's We have one on the way we

have one on the way and we're going to

keep the W thing going kidd number two

will be cool because this one's planned

you know it's just it's just me Amanda

and my son and um you know him having

autism stuff is difficult just with the

way he is being away like not sure what

he's doing or how he's doing and then I

know it's a lot of added stress on her i

I miss my son a whole lot i miss Amanda

a lot too and um I feel a little bit

guilty for you this is so huge you know

like it might set you up moving forward

like Yeah bro this is It's going to be a

blessing down the road but that's got to

be hard man i think just fighting as

hard as I can in in the octagon will

will make it all worth it we're like

debating getting a dog oh it's another

level having kids man

good morning guys welcome to the UFC BJJ

weighins let's get started thank you

aaron Wilson

aaron has a very good MMA background i'd

say what he brings to the table is

toughness very hard to submit very hard

to do anything to a resilient push

forward nature but I think I'm a lot

more well-rounded than him the only part

he has an advantage in is experience age

and strength

170

Andrew Taget

i can wrestle for a long time without

getting tired so if he wants to do that

we can do that got super good passing so

I got to be careful playing guard with

him making sure I I lock him up and I

and I don't let him have the freedom to

just fly around my body i'm going to

have to cinch something up and slow him

down cuz he brings the pace and he does

it probably better than anybody else

170

if I can finish Andrew it would be my

biggest win that would be tremendous for

me it's not personal i just strictly

business you're a stepping stool i got

to support myself here

good morning buddy what's up how you

doing oh freaking let's kill it today

green team right

i bring a lot to a table for sure i

bring a pace that is unbreakable i bring

resilience that is unbreakable a mindset

that is unbreakable and just consistency

i'm always consistently attacking you

i'm always going after you and I'm

always looking to break you there's

nothing stopping me i've trained so hard

for these moments to come alive and I'm

not let anyone take any of that from me

we going to win boys you got this let's

go thank you for the Thank you for the

warm up

what's up

how you doing Mikey you good doing great

man how you doing good yeah yeah how you

doing good good i am a heavy underdog in

this match up and I'm fully aware of it

yes no one's going to give you it you

have to just take it if you want it it's

there for you to take if you want it you

take it i really don't have anything to

lose so I'm dangerous that way he kind

of has everything to lose so I would say

that's almost an advantage to me i've

been underdog since I was a kid i

actually feel better in that role

because there's not pressure i think a

lot of my best performances I've had is

when I've been counted out

i'm just grateful for the opportunity to

go out here and compete been doing this

a long time this isn't my first time

going against someone who's really

really good

we're both high energy we both push the

pace we're both going to be going at

each other like crazy i think it's going

to be fireworks and I'm super excited

for it

let's go your time all right buddy let's

go

i thrive in pressure i thrive in

stressful environments the more people

that are cheering me on the more cameras

that are on me the more I step up to the

challenge my goal is to win that belt to

be the best and no one stopping me let's

freaking go i'll see you guys at the top

i was called to do this i was called to

be a champion from a young age and I

know I can be it so I'm ready that's

cool

are you ready are you ready that's spike

go

hey he's double posting a lot

he's reaching with two hands bro yeah

down block

hey keep it at your pace

keep it at your pace

good up here up up up posture posture

free the head focus on hip height here

free the head calm free the head free

the head he's going to slide he's going

to slide andrew north south north south

andrew north south don't lose yeah hold

hold him don't lose over that top leg

yeah don't lose position don't lose

position

nice nice nice elbow into his hand take

it down nice go go yes

stay heavy

take the back nice good job choke choke

choke choke choke andrew choke

let's go boys let's go Green

winner by submission green

so round one starts and Andrew

immediately is putting a lot of pressure

on Aaron he's winning the wrestling

exchanges really physical strength

energy technique all at once just

forceful blitz forward

he's just all over the place he just has

this

power it's not looking good for us

good job buddy

i felt really good i was like "Wow." You

know got in got out quick saved my

energy and you know I was really happy

of how that performance went for sure

let's go boy

it's a tough day didn't really get a

chance to get started i wanted to do a

little more than what I did pretty

disappointed yeah something's going to

sting for a little while i'm going to

keep training i'm going to keep grinding

i'm not going to go out on a loss for

sure

great nothing's standing in my way i'm

coming for everyone and I'm just

buckling down and I'm submitting

everyone

with his quick submission team Gabriel's

number one seed Andrew Tacket becomes

the first welterweight to advance to the

semifinals

up next the topseated lightweight Keith

Creoran of team Gabriel takes on eight

seed Isaac Doderline of team Musamei

should we go closer oh my what this is

so close

nice nice nice

come on Isaac

then on this season of UFC BJJ Road to

the Title

Sacrifice show you I'm a dog they know

I'm an animal once I evolve yeah win it

all i'm win it all i'mma win it all win

it all win it all go let's go Mikey

let's go Mikey multisport athlete over

here

he's stepping on the line

i'll put it behind my head what number

is it it's a two see you guys are

amateurs

that kid's army is know I'm an animal

watch
